The term 'Himbo' accurately describes many known animated male characters. A himbo is a character who's kind, empathetic, and acts with good intentions, but can be a bit dimwitted in certain departments. It's also notable to add that some himbos are also good-looking.

There are many prime examples over the years in movies and television - even Captain America is tagged as one. Animated himbos have a uniquely different charm, though, seeing as they're not real people and are only seen in cartoon form. They have a goofy charm that fans fall for, but they aren't always the sharpest tools in the shed.

Dave (Dave The Barbarian)

Dave the Barbarian was one of those Disney shows that kids had to stay up late to watch. It also had one of the earliest examples of a himbo. Dave was the middle child of a barbarian family. He had a muscular physique and hypnotizing green and he was also extremely sensitive and kind.

Dave would rather knit and cook than be a "real hero" and fans might remember how extremely allergic he was to everything. All in all, Dave always meant well and would fight for his family, even if he was fearful of almost everything. He didn't fit the mold of a typical barbarian, but that's okay.

Kristoff (Frozen)

Fans fell head over heels for Kristoff from Disney's Frozen. The tall, buff, blonde character enchanted fans and portrayed a different type of himbo. Kristoff is an ice harvester who preferred the company of Sven and only interacted with humans when needed. The character isn't known for his book smarts, though, much like other himbos.

What makes Kristoff so lovable as a himbo was his compassion and his drive to do what's right. Whose heart doesn't swell when Kristoff belts out his heartfelt ballad about love while sitting on top of a reindeer?

Val Hallen (Dexter's Laboratory)

Val Hallen is a serious blast from the past when it comes to memorable Cartoon Network shows. Dexter's Laboratory was about a scheming young genius, but fans may recall a group of superheroes from the show. Val Hallen was part of The Justice Friends, who fight evil while also learning to live with each other.

Val Hallen is described as the most handsome and buff one and is tagged as "The Viking God of Rock." He has all the physical attributes of a himbo, from the muscles to long blonde hair. The character is quite mellow and rarely gets angry. Val Hallen's laid-back attitude makes people think he's dimwitted, but in reality, he offers words of wisdom and fights evil.

Bolin (Avatar: The Last Airbender)

Avatar: The Last Airbender is inarguably one of the most popular animated cartoons shows that Nickelodeon ever created. It also gave fans two prime examples of himbos - Sokka and Bolin. Sokka has the tendency to be a bit dimwitted, but he takes on responsibilities well. The real himbo star, however, is Bolin.

Bolin is an Earth bender from a multicultural family. Throughout the show, he is well-liked for his comical demeanor, fun attitude, and jokes. Bolin always sees the brighter side of things and doesn't let his inability to metal bend deter him. He wasn't the best at keeping secrets and could be naive, which often got him in trouble.

Goku (Dragon Ball)

Goku deserves to wear a sash claiming him as one of the most notorious himbos - but in a good way. Dragon Ball is one of the most famous Japanese shows adapted for an American audience. Goku can be described as a character made up of pure kindness. He may be tall, muscular, and hold immense power, but he cares more for the greater good than himself.

Goku becomes one of Earth's greatest heroes and takes his job seriously. But this doesn't mean that he doesn't have his naive moments that make fans laugh. This is especially true when it comes to his passion for food, as seen when he was K.O'd and he woke up and instantly mentioned dinner.

Hercules

There's no denying that Hercules, with his chiseled face and toned muscles, was many people's first crush. The character became synonymous with the title of a himbo for a reason. Having super strength from a young age, Hercules was often ostracized for creating so many disasters. He never meant anything by it, though, and was just trying to help.

When learning he's a god, he strives to prove his worth and become a hero for everyone. He even rejects the opportunity to be a god, so he can live his life with Meg. Hercules has his moments of being a bit dimwitted and enjoys his fame a bit too much. He also wasn't that smooth in wooing Meg.

David (Lilo & Stitch)

David can be argued to be one of the best Disney male characters for many reasons. But many may not have noticed that he has many of the characteristics of a himbo. David is one of the nicest characters who understand Nani's responsibility of raising Lilo and even helps take care of her.

He always means well when it comes to the people he cares for. Not to mention, he is open-minded and accepts Stitch and the others. Much like other himbos, David is well built and cute, but sometimes not the brightest. He even accidentally sets part of the roof on fire during his fire dance.

Kronk (The Emperor's New Groove)

Fans can't help but love Kronk from The Emperor's New Groove. He was a ray of sunshine that wasn't meant to be the henchmen to the evil Yzma. Compared to the other characters in the movie and following show, he was the real star. He has a passion for cooking and making people happy with his food.

Fans can't overlook Kornk's impressive torso and build, thanks to his family lineage. But he has some flaws that deem him a himbo. He had absolute loyalty to Yzma, for example, despite knowing she was doing wrong. This was a bit naive on his end.

Launchpad McQuack (DuckTales)

Launchpad McQuack first appeared in the 1987 Disney television show, DuckTales, and would after return in the 2017 reboot series. Since his first appearance, the character hasn't changed much. Launchpad is best described as a lovable doofus and gentle giant.

He's a pilot who aids Scrooge McDuck and can be a bit absent-minded and naive to the point that it annoys Scrooge. Launchpad has, on many occasions, had his blunders that led to mistakes, but he's always witty and charming to make up for it. Above all, Launchpad always rises to the occasion when given a mission and executes it to the best of his ability.

Fred (Scooby-Doo)

Scooby-Doo was many people's childhood favorite series and it had everything, from the mystery gang solving mysteries to the nightmarish ghouls and monsters they faced. Each character on the show had their unique traits that made the show fun, and the group leader, Fred, had his himbo moments.

To be fair, Fred wasn't always a himbo. In the beginning, he was incredibly resourceful, came up with plans, and was good at deducing, just like Velma. Over time and with different installments of the character Fred gained his himbo status. He became more worried about his looks and how he looked to others. He is still kind and respects his friends, but he is too foolish for his own good at times. Fred is a pro at solving mysteries and catching criminals, but he still manages to get caught in his own traps.
