Voice From The Stone (5.2)
Set against the backdrop of a post-World War II Italy, this 2017 supernatural psychological thriller tells of a psychologist's attempt to make her mute patient talk. The more Verena watches the child, however, the more she realizes that he is wrapped up in something much more powerful than himself.
Emilia Clarke plays the leading psychologist while Edward George Dring plays the young Jakob Rivi. The film's reviews came in on the lower end of mixed-to-average. Being that movie was a limited release, both its viewership and box office score was low.
Above Suspicion (5.8)
This thriller, based loosely on Joe Sharkey's book of the same name, tells of a recently married FBI agent who heads to a Kentucky mountain town for work. He begins an affair with a woman here, however, it's not long before the scandal escalates out of control.
The film's leads include Emilia Clarke and Jack Huston. Though select viewers have already seen the film, it is yet to debut to general audiences. Being that it was filmed in 2017, many are more than ready for the premiere.
Dom Hemingway (6.2)
This British comedy-crime drama, starring Jude Law, Richard E. Grant, Demián Bichir, and Emilia Clarke, told of the titular safecracker (Law) who, after being let out of jail, has one goal in mind: to seek the payment rightfully owed to him for having not revealed his boss.
Clarke takes on the role of Evelyn Hemingway in this film, who is the estranged daughter of Dom. The film ultimately pulled out of theaters with mixed to average reviews. The lead was praised, though the captivation of the story was questioned.
Spike Island (6.3)
This British comedy film tells of a group of friends who visit Spike Island in '90s England in an attempt to catch their favorite band, the Stone Roses. However, doing so without tickets or transportation proves to be a challenge; one they're up for.
The film is based on the real-life English rock band on the same name and premiered at the BFI London Film Festival in 2012. Though it didn't hit American theaters, it was released on DVD in June 2013. Emily Clarke takes on the role of one of the friends, Sally.
Terminator Genisys (6.4)
This 2015 Terminator reboot has Arnold Schwarzenegger reprising his titular role. However, this time he's joined by a lineup including Jason Clarke, Emilia Clarke, Jai Courtney, J. K. Simmons, Dayo Okeniyi, Matt Smith, Courtney B. Vance, and Lee Byung-hun.
The sci-fi story tells of a resistance leader who sends a soldier back to 1984 to save his mother, Sarah (Emilia Clarke), from an assassination. The problem? Messing with time has its consequences, and Sarah has transformed into a fierce fighter. Worse, there are new enemies looming on the horizon. Though critical reviews came in low, general audiences found the film to be fun.
Last Christmas (6.6)
Emilia Clarke's latest project has her starring opposite Henry Godling. This holiday rom-com, based on the English pop song of the same name by Wham! tells the story of a frustrated Christmas retail worker (Clarke) who ends up falling for an enchanting man (Golding).
The film premiered in November 2019 to mixed reviews. While the screenplay and story have gotten its fair share of criticism, the charming connection between the lead actors has received a load of praise. At this point, the film has grossed over $53 million dollars against a budget estimated to be between $25 million and $30 million.
Solo: A Star Wars Story (6.9)
Star Wars' biggest bad boy (okay, fine, maybe Kylo Ren is more deserving of that title) received his own spin-off prequel in 2018. We're talking about the Han Solo space Western that hit theaters.
Solo: A Star Wars Story told of a young Solo joining a group of space smugglers who set out for the planet Kessel to snatch a batch of coaxium. While Alden Ehrenreich took on the titular role, Woody Harrelson played his mentor Tobias and Clarke played his former flame, Qi'Ra. It's revealed that Qi'Ra and Solo grew up together. Though the film wasn't perfect, longtime fans enjoyed the action and excitement of another Star Wars adventure.
Me Before You (7.4)
Topping off the list is the tale of a quirky small-town girl named Lou who ends up becoming the caretaker of a paralyzed man who was formerly a successful and happy banker. Unfortunately for him, his outlook on life went plummeting downhill after getting hit by a motorcycle. Luckily, Lou thinks she can change this... or so she thinks.
Though the sensitive topics discussed in the film could have been handled much better and received criticism, the chemistry between the leads was magnetic. After all, who couldn't have left the theater smiling after having watched Emilia Clarke and Sam Clafin star opposite each other? The film was additionally a box office success, taking in $208 million against a budget of $20 million.
