Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 2 recently wrapped up, leaving the audience with several dramatic and memorable moments. The season took place on the same sailing yacht, Parsifal, in sunny Croatia. Captain Glenn Shephard returned as the head of the boat. However, the whole crew was completely new.

The first season of the Bravo series aired in 2020 as a new series in the Below Deck franchise. Viewers quickly fell in love with the show, and especially with Captain Glenn. Since the fans enjoyed the season 1 cast, Bravo decided to shake it up and bring on a whole new crew. Earlier this year, viewers met the new Chief Stew, Daisy, Chef Natasha, first mate Gary, Colin the engineer, the stews, Alli and Dani, and the deckhands, Sydney and Jean-Luc. When a new crew works for the first time, there is bound to be a dramatic moment or two.

Jean-Luc's STD

Towards the end of the season, Jean Luc, who is possibly the father of Dani's baby, found a suspicious-looking rash around his private parts. He was convinced it was an STD and was afraid to tell Dani, who he had been hooking up with for most of the season. After he told her about his rash, Dani immediately broke down and was contemplating leaving the boat. After a visit with the doctor, JL got confirmation that his rash was not an STD. It was actually caused by excessive chafing.

Dani Says "I Love You" To Jean-Luc

During the finale episode of BDSY season 2, Dani admitted to Jean-Luc several times that she loved him. The 33-year-old didn't want to leave the boat, knowing she did tell the 24-year-old how she truly felt. After dinner, the crew went back to the yacht, and Dani and JL spent the night together in the master cabin.

Gary And Sydney Hook Up

Below Deck Sailing Yacht's Gary and Sydney

At the beginning of the season, Gary and Sydney hooked up during their first night off in Croatia. After the first mate was excessively flirting with both Sydney and Alli, Sydney showed the most interest, and the pair headed down to the guest cabin together. However, the crew thought the coworkers just kissed and shared a bed together, but it was revealed later in the season that something more went down that night between Sydney and Gary.

Boat Crash

Later in the season, the Parsifal yacht crashed into the dock twice. The first incident was a mild one, with the back of the boat slightly rubbing up against the dock. The deck crew was able to place the fenders where they needed to be at the right time. The second crash happened shortly after when Glenn was trying to park. The ship faced a malfunction and full-on collided with the dock. Luckily, it was mostly cosmetic, and they were able to temporarily fix the damage with paint and go on with their next charter. However, the damage did end up costing more than $20,000.

It's clear that Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 2 was definitely an upgrade from the season prior. Viewers saw love triangles, expensive boat crashes, and even an STD scare. Hopefully, season 3 will bring the fans just as many, if not more, dramatic moments.
