Below Deck Sailing Yacht charter guest and former The Bachelor star Erica Rose got slammed by fans for the low tip she and her husband Charles Sanders left the crew in a recent episode, and she issued an apology for her offensive behavior. Erica first chartered Parsifal III on Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 2 for her group of girlfriends and mom, Cindi Rose. What was supposed to be a positive girls' trip turned out to be a nightmare when the guests started fighting amongst themselves. Below Deck Sailing Yacht chief stew Daisy Kelliher called the group of women “exhausting” and was glad to see them go.

Erica came back for Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 with Charles, Cindi, and a few other friends. Knowing how high maintenance she can be, the Parsifal III crew braced themselves for a tough charter. This time, it was Erica’s husband Charles who turned out to be a diva. The first night of the charter, he complimented Chef Marcos’ food and said it was the best steak he had ever had. The second morning, he complained about his omelette and said the food was “horrible” and “gross,” and that he had better food at a ballpark. Later, he called charter guest Janelle Flatt a “b****” and almost got knocked out by her husband Rhett Flatt.

After the draining charter was finally over, Captain Glenn Shephard informed the crew that their tip was a measly $6,500 to be divided amongst them. When the episode aired, fans were furious at how cheap Erica and Charles were and slammed them on social media for leaving the worst tip in Below Deck history. Erica recently apologized on Twitter by telling Below Deck Sailing Yacht viewers, “I just wanted to say I’m sorry for those I offended on @BelowDeckSailng [sic]. I have been reflecting and digging deep. I want to be the best me possible for my daughters.” Fans responded with, “How disappointed your children be when they watch this.” Another suggested that if Erica were really sorry, she would give the Below Deck Sailing Yacht crew an additional $10,000.

Previous to Erica’s Twitter mea culpa, she defended Charles’ behavior by telling fans he was acting for the cameras. She explained that this was his first time being on a reality television show and he thought he was being entertaining. Charles went on social media to admit that his actions were “despicable and disgusting,” and begged fans not to judge Erica for his behavior. Erica had even more fallout after the charter when Janelle, who was Erica’s hairdresser, dropped her as a client. Erica tried to pin the low tip on the other charter guests not chipping in but Janelle showed Below Deck Sailing Yacht fans a screenshot of the text exchange between her and Erica that proved Erica was lying.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht fans did not buy Erica’s apology and also slammed her mom Cindi for ruining the white sofa with her fake tanner. When the crew asked who was responsible for the mess, she denied it. Captain Glenn informed her gently that guests are responsible for any damage to the boat and Cindi tried to get the other guests to pay for the sofa. They rightfully refused, since it wasn’t their fault and knew that it was Cindi that had sat on the sofa. Erica, who called Daisy "two-faced," reminded Below Deck Sailing Yacht viewers that the show is for entertainment purposes and doesn’t reflect her everyday life. However, Erica, Charles, and Cindi are arguably one of the worst guests on Below Deck Sailing Yacht history, and fans can’t stop hating on them.
