Below Deck Mediterranean has begun with a bang with the possible firing of new bosun Raygan Tyler on the horizon and some alarming revelations regarding Natasha Webb and Dave White's relationship. During episode 2, "I've Got a Sea-cret," Dave told producers his relationship with Natasha had gone further than what they had previously let on. During their last charter, Natasha cheated on her boyfriend with Dave and broke up with him after they completed the charter. Unfortunately for Dave, Natasha is trying to play their relationship down, scared of what their castmates will think when they learn she cheated. Meanwhile, Dave is already in love with Natasha and wants to be exclusive.
Following the Below Deck Med crew's first night out, Dave and Natasha's relationship became more apparent to them. Dave drunkenly lashed out at new deckhand Jason Gaskell, which left Natasha eager to distance herself from the mess. So much so that she decided to sleep in the guest bedroom instead of her bunk with Dave. Cameras showed Dave crying himself to sleep that night; clearly embarrassed by his behavior and scared he pushed Natasha away. Dave then apologized the next day, and to fans, it seemed all was good. Dave even entered the bathroom while Natasha was in the shower and stayed for 28 minutes. Natasha then left the bathroom dressed, and Dave could be seen in the background, showering. Of course, Bravo left fans to determine what happened with clever editing.
After the bathroom moment, season 7 Chief Steward Natasha returned to her usual flirty behavior with Dave, which prompted second steward Kyle Viljoen to say that Natasha and Dave should be together. Natasha, of course, played this down and regressed to her avoidance of Dave. At this time, Below Deck Med producers had convinced Dave to reveal his dalliance with Natasha on their previous boat in a confessional. Natasha's past with Dave has opened Natasha to criticism from fans who were now all too eager to make Natasha the next Below Deck Med villain. Micromanager Captain Sandy has held that title since season 2 and has also received a lot of hate this season.
With all of Natasha's hot and cold behavior on display, fans have become angry with Natasha for her treatment of Below Deck Med's Chef Dave. Twitter user @t.zand3 said, "I’m not condoning Dave drunk antagonising [sic] Jason but the guy is being truly head fucked with by Natasha. I feel bad for him. She doesn’t seem to understand her responsibility here… she led him on, flirts with him, f***s him & asks him to keep it all a secret." Another Twitter user, @pls7180, chimed in and said, "Hope Dave can continue to put out all of this beautiful food while Natasha bats his heart around like a bored cat with a ball of yarn." While Natasha is not the first to cheat on her partner during a charter, such as bosun Eddie Lucas with steward Rocky Dakota during Below Deck season 3, she is now receiving the heat for not facing up to her actions just as Eddie did.
Yacht romances aren't new to the Below Deck franchise and fans have yet to see the end of Natasha and Dave's complicated on and off relationship. However, one thing is for sure, it is bound to get worse. In the current episodes released, Natasha has yet to be outed to the crew for cheating on her last partner and there is still much more to come on this season of Below Deck Med.
