Below Deck Mediterranean chief stew Katie Flood is dishing on her past romance with Jack Stirrup. The two dated a while back in their yachtie careers when they worked on the same ship together.
Flood was the New Zealand native who was picked by the Bravo network to replace Hannah Ferrier on the nautical series. She seems to be much more laid back than her counterpart, who was from Australia. In the sneak peek, she explains that it takes a lot to get her angry but that she doesn’t like to be bossy and lets most of her staff get on with their work. Ferrier was let go due to not reporting her vape pen and Valium prescription, which could have had the entire crew lose their license. Captain Sandy was not thrilled with how her lead stew conducted herself and had her walk the plank.
Before the official start of the sailing season, Flood decided to chat with Us Weekly regarding her history with the Liverpool heart breaker, Stirrup. During the premiere episode, Flood shared that the two were hot and heavy for around a year, with the deckhand even getting a tattoo of her face on his arm while drunk in Thailand. Talk about commitment!
Flood told the outlet he does have a lot of loves in his life and that most of the women he surrounds himself with are not the biggest fans of tattoos. But according to Flood, her ex-beau told her he would “he’ll always keep it.” The British hottie was seen on season 4 of Below Deck Mediterranean, but Flood didn’t watch his time on the show right away. So what did Flood think of her ex-lover on the show? She said that “he’s super goofy, super charming, you know? He just does what he wants to do. That’s Jack.”
Flood also admitted that she’d never rule out dating Stirrup, even though he just welcomed his first child with his girlfriend. The newest reality star even admitted that she would always love Stirrup since he was a really good person. Who knows what her time on the yacht will bring? There quite possibly could be a new love connection on the boat.
