Below Deck Mediterranean season 7 has been slammed by fans as being boring, but steward Kyle Viljoen is the only cast member making the show interesting. Season 7 started off rocky when there was obvious tension between the chief stew Natasha Webb and Chef Dave White. The Home crew picked up on the chemistry between the two yachties, but they denied that they were a couple. Later, Dave revealed that he and Natasha had hooked up on a previous yachting job and that the chief stew was in a relationship with her boyfriend at the time.

After it was revealed that Natasha had cheated on her boyfriend with Dave, she pulled away from the chef. Heartbroken, he lashed out at her in an angry text. Captain Sandy Yawn had to step in and give him a warning, which he heeded. Fans were split on who they sided with and many felt Natasha led Dave on. The messy drama dragged on for a few episodes and Below Deck Med fans wanted to move on from the storyline. However, besides the Natasha and Dave incident, Below Deck Med season 7 didn’t offer much entertainment until Kyle’s romance with a charter guest.

While Below Deck Med crew members are encouraged to be friendly towards the guests, hookups are strictly forbidden. Unfortunately, this rule proved to be difficult for Kyle during the latest charter. When a group of men boarded the yacht, Kyle couldn’t help noticing one particular guest. Frank Fay caught Kyle’s eyes with his smile and there was an obvious spark between the two. Kyle flirted his way through the charter and almost put his job on the line when Captain Sandy noticed him being too friendly with the guests. Despite knowing that he was breaking the rules, Kyle was willing to risk getting fired for love.

Kyle Viljoen From Below Deck Med

Below Deck Med viewers loved watching the romance blossom between Kyle and Frank. What started out as a harmless flirtation developed into genuine feelings between the two. Kyle admitted to not feeling a connection like that with anyone for a long time and wondered if it would ever happen again. After the charter ended, the guests met the crew on their night out. Kyle and Frank said goodbye and stated they would save their first kiss for their first date. However, after they parted ways, Kyle yelled, “I love you!” He then jumped out of the crew’s van and ran toward Frank. They finally shared their first kiss with the Below Deck crew cheering them on.

Kyle and Frank’s romance provided a much-needed reprieve from the dark drama between Dave and Natasha. Below Deck Med fans loved watching Kyle fall in love, even if it went against the rules of the yacht. Unfortunately, Kyle and Frank’s relationship was short-lived, and the former steward is in a relationship with a man he calls his “future husband.” Although Kyle and Frank didn’t go the distance, their brief flirtation provided much entertainment for Below Deck Mediterranean fans.
