Izzy Wouters from Below Deck season 8 has come out. The native Kiwi-Australian has won fans by showing off yachting talent, as well as leadership skills and a strong work ethic.

Wouters hails from Australia, though she was born in New Zealand. She joined the Below Deck crew in November 2020. Wouters has definitely made an impact, and her goal with the announcement is to reassure fans and viewers who haven't come out that they are not alone. She's a reliable presence on the show, even with the ups and downs that come with every crew, and she admits that she entered the yachting industry by accident in 2016, while planning to travel to Europe. After one stint as a stew, she decided to take the initiative to get her yachting master certification. Now, she's taken the initiative again.

Isabelle Wouters shared the news on Instagram, using some selfies and a caption revealing that she was a lesbian, and therefore romantically unavailable to "straight men." Hashtags added were #LankyLezzy,#P*ssyPlease, and #OutAndProud. She's received unconditional support from her fans. Haters may hate, but Wouters remains strong. Wouters joked that she is up for platonic relationships with "sugar daddies." Her Instagram also promotes body acceptance. View her post below:

Wouters also talked about the screening process for appearing on Below Deck. The producers want to ensure that every crew member can handle work duties on a yacht and stay calm during stressful times, especially when working on a boat for months on end. Now and then, Below Deck clients aren't satisfied, but crew members need to keep passengers safe no matter what. That's why screenings, background checks, and psych evaluations happen. Wouters says she likes the atmosphere because it lacks the scripting of other reality TV shows. She thinks that less drama is manufactured. Drama happens naturally when the crew and cast are in close quarters. Wouters has shown that she's ready to tackle anything.

In short, Wouters from Below Deck has been a great team player. She's also serving as a role model to others, whether they are out or not. By living her truth, she's inspiring fans of the show and using her platform in a positive way.
