First mate Gary King and Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher met on Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 2 and Gary recently told fans he and Daisy are dating. Gary and Daisy are returning to season 3 of BDSY, along with familiar faces Captain Glenn Shephard and Colin MacRae. Newcomers chef Marcos Spaziani, second stew Gabriela Barragan, third stew Ashley Marti, and deckhands Kelsie Goglia and Tom Pearson will round out the cast.
During the season 3 trailer, Gary is seen locking lips with multiple ladies, one of whom is Daisy. Gary found himself in a love triangle in season 2, when he hooked up with deckhand Sydney Zaruba on the crew’s first night out. Soon afterward, he found himself being more drawn to stewardess Alli Dore and the two developed a close relationship. However, when Alli found out that Gary and Sydney had been intimate, she cut off any chance Gary had with her.
Daisy recently posted a picture on Instagram of her and Gary on a ride in Disneyland. She captioned it, “Taking the big child out for day,” which led to a lot of speculation as to whether they were a couple now. A fan commented on Daisy’s post with, “Gary is dating you now? Awesome. Good for you two!” Daisy didn’t reply but she liked his comment. However, Gary confirmed the two BDSY stars were, in fact, dating when he shared a video on his Instagram story saying, “Hey guys because many of you are asking, and yes Daisy and I are dating.” Daisy is standing beside him and the two share a laugh after his statement.
Last season of BDSY, Gary and Daisy were constantly at odds with each other. Daisy often asked for help from the deck crew but Gary often held back because he didn’t want to overwork his team. Daisy also caused trouble between Gary and Alli when she told Alli about the extent of his and Sydney’s night together. Alli had assumed the two exterior crew just shared a kiss but Daisy informed Alli that they had slept together. Daisy and Gary tried to hash things out during the season 2 reunion but they failed to see eye-to-eye on their issues and Daisy said she couldn’t see the two working together again.
Fans will see how their relationship progresses during season 3 of BDSY. Daisy, who has clashed with other crew members last season, has admitted that she doesn’t remember the kiss between her and Gary and laughed that it was her “alternate personality.” Some fans wonder if Gary was being sarcastic in his video and are just teasing fans before the hit show airs. Season 3 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht premiers on Monday, February 21, at 8 p.m. ET.
