In a sneak preview of Below Deck season 8, the crew worries after discovering that Captain Lee Rosbach has suffered from an unknown injury, which may or may not put him out of commission.

This series focuses on yachting in the Caribbean, rather than the Mediterranean, which is the setting for the spin-off series, Below Deck Med. Lee Rosbach is Below Deck's captain and was slated to return for season 8. Fans already know that they won't be seeing chief stew Kate Chastain this year, as she announced she would be leaving the show back in February. Eddie Lucas, who was included in season three, did make a comeback this season.

In an exclusive sneak peek from People, showing glimpses of the season 8 premiere episode, the crew arrives and is ready to get on the boat. The yacht is primed for its first charter of the season. As the crew embarks on the journey, they realize that Captain Lee Rosbach is nowhere to be found. Bosun Eddie Lucas reveals that their captain seems to be having some serious issues at the moment. New chief stew Francesca Rubi tells her staff that, "Lee actually had a fall...So he's not actually on the boat." As the video goes on, it is revealed that Lee was sent to the hospital after suffering a critical injury, but the specific details of the incident are still unknown. With less than 24 hours to go before they begin their first charter, the Below Deck crew is unsure if Captain Lee will make it to the boat on time, or at all.

Eddie begins to panic but tries his best to stay cool, calm, and collected in front of the new crew. "I don't know the severity of his injuries and we have a charter coming on in less than 24 hours...There's a lot up in the air right now," he reveals. He is trying his best to stay professional in front of the crew, but he cannot help but wonder if Captain Lee Rosbach will fail to arrive. At that pivotal moment, Eddie is hoping for the best and figuring out what he can do to make the first charter of the season go smoothly. Joining the crew this season, alongside Eddie and Francesca, are second stew Elizabeth Frankini, third stew Isabelle "Izzy" Wouters, deckhand James Hough, and deckhand Shane Coopersmith.

To find out what happened to Captain Lee, such as whether he made it to the boat before the crew set off on its first charter, watch Below Deck on Monday at 9pm EST on Bravo.
