Captain Glenn Shephard from Below Deck Sailing Yacht recently revealed which side he's on regarding the love triangle between deckhands Colin Macrae and Gary King and stewardess Daisy Kelliher. While the captain of the boat is not always privy to all the drama going on between the crew, they do eventually get to see it all play out once Below Deck airs, if they choose to watch it. Daisy has definitely had some decisions to make over the past couple of seasons, but it would appear she always goes for what is best for her in the long run.

In an interview with ET, Below Deck Sailing Yacht's Glenn Shephard was shown a video message from Daisy, asking if he was “Team Colin or Team Gary.” Glenn responded, “Don’t tell him, I’m probably Team Colin!” The seasoned Below Deck captain whispered his answer with a laugh. Gary chimed in by saying, “Jesus, I’m Team Colin!” After all the history they've shared, they have put it behind them and moved forward respectfully where everyone is still able to be friendly. Glenn did add that “Colin’s a great guy. Gary’s a great guy. I love them both. They’re like family...Choosing teams is kinda like choosing your favorite kid, but Colin’s a little more settled down.”

Captain Glenn Admits Below Deck Crew “Good At Being Discrete”

Glenn shared that it’s interesting to not notice everything that is happening on the boat until it airs. “Some of this crazy stuff that happens...I don’t see it until it’s on air, like, six or nine months later,” admitting that the crew is "good at being discrete." Gary opened up about the jealousy he used to have towards Colin’s relationship with Daisy. It was difficult for him to watch their relationship blossom. However, Gary also said, “I’ve had my chance to get with Daisy, I didn’t take my chance, and now she’s hooking up with Colin, and I’m jealous over it,” acknowledging the interesting dynamic of the whole situation.

Despite future episodes of Sailing Yacht set to show a bit of tension and rivalry between Gary and Colin, they are still good friends today. This kind of love triangle drama is typical for any reality TV show, and Below Deck just seems to be the perfect breeding ground for the crew to act up and act out. It’s a small space to be around the same people all the time when they are working and also not actively working. That’s a lot of time to be spending with anybody, so it makes sense where the drama comes from in relation to this show.

The drama between the three crew members highlighted the intense pressure of working in close quarters with limited personal space and long hours. As Captain Glenn noted, it is important for crew members to remain professional and focused on their jobs, even in the face of personal conflicts. While Below Deck has seen its fair share of drama, it is clear that the show’s crew members are dedicated professionals who take their jobs seriously. With a new season having just started, fans can look forward to seeing some more high-seas adventures and perhaps even some more romantic entanglements between the crew.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EDT on Bravo.
