Captain Glenn Shephard from Below Deck Sailing Yacht revealed in a recent interview which Real Housewives cast member he would be interested in dating. Bravo viewers know Sailing Yacht as the successful spin-off of the hit series Below Deck, which revolves around guests chartering a sailboat rather than a motor yacht. Much like Below Deck, BDSY captures the lives of the crew during the charter season as they tend to a group of demanding guests and deal with boat drama.
Glenn quickly became a fan favorite with his laid-back attitude. He treated his crew fairly and allowed each department head to run their own team without him micromanaging every detail. However, he does put his foot down when he has to. Glenn has had to deal with rowdy guests and show them who’s the boss of the boat. When it comes to the crew, he allows them to have fun during their nights off. In the recent premiere of Sailing Yacht, Glenn wasn’t happy when deckhand Tom Pearson, whom he was sharing a cabin with, had a bit too much to drink and threw up in the bathroom.
In a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live, Glenn appeared as a guest along with stewardess Ashley Marti. Andy Cohen told Glenn that he wants to set him up with a cast member from the Real Housewives franchise. The host mentioned The Real Housewives of New York star Eboni K. Williams and The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Heather Gay. When Andy asked who Glenn had his eyes on, he laughed and said that it was hard to keep track of all the Housewives, but that Eboni's name stood out to him. He asked Andy to “hook him up” with Eboni and that it would be “awesome.” Glenn then laughed and said, “I’m going to get myself in trouble.”
Glenn is typically private about his dating life and has never been married before. He has mentioned on BDSY that it’s hard to maintain relationships as someone who is traveling so much. There were rumors that he was dating former deckhand Sydney Zaruba from Sailing Yacht season 2, but he quickly refuted those claims saying that they were just “great friends.” Meanwhile, Sydney has shared that she is dating someone who is also a captain and that they work together on his boat.
Glenn hasn't shared his love life on Below Deck Sailing Yacht, but the show is full of crew hookups. On the first night, Ashley shared a kiss with First Mate Gary King, which she admitted was something she shouldn’t have done. Gary and Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher also share a steamy kiss in the hot tub later on this season, which causes some tension between the crewmates. As for Glenn, he lets the crew have their rowdy moments as long as they’re ready to work when the time comes.
