Bruno Duarte, the former deckhand on Below Deck, has revealed he almost lost his leg when he was on the show while working under Captain Lee. Duarte had previously alleged that Captain Lee forced him to drink alcohol when he knew his deckhand did not drink. What other secrets are bound to come to the surface?

A whole new side of the franchise is being revealed, and fans are not happy with what they are hearing. Bruno was a hard worker on the show who came across a bit green. Previously, he had only worked on cruise ships. But his time on the show was not pleasant.

Duarte is back behind the VIP rope and recently dished on behind-the-scenes information on Behind the Velvet Rope with David Yontef. The deckhand revealed that he had a terrible accident that almost caused him to lose his leg while on the show. According to the reality star, he nearly lost his life when his ankle got stuck in the propeller. The Bravo film crew kept right on filming, and producers would not break the fourth wall as they all carried on with their jobs. Duarte even claimed that Captain Lee didn't care at all.

The former reality star told the podcast house that, "Oh no, no, he didn't care at all. It would look at me as like, yeah, you got one leg. It can work." Listeners were surprised to hear the horror story as Duarte continued saying, "The [producers] would come to me and ask me if I was okay. Even if they knew that they couldn't talk to me ... And of course, how will I say 'Yes I'm okay?'" Even the Captain, who comes across as caring on the show, didn’t check up on his crew member, leaving fans questioning his true nature.

Duarte maintains that nothing good ever came from Kate Chastain or Captain Lee. He has moved on the bigger and better adventures away from the upsetting experience on Below Deck. Even though he has dropped some bombshell allegations, many fans do not think anything will be done on the show to make it safer for the cast members.
