Below Deck star Ben Willoughby shared a glimpse into his romantic life and relationship with former deck/stew Camille Lamb since she was fired. Ben's story with Camille played out in Below Deck season 10 after the latter joined as a deckhand and stew swing. Ben became smitten by her captivating presence and, before long, they began dating and even planned a romantic getaway after filming for the season ended. Things took a dramatic turn after Camille was fired mid-season for slacking on the job, leaving Ben broken. In a surprising twist, Bravo introduced another stew, Leigh-Ann Smith, who also happened to have a romantic history with the deckhand.

His entanglements with Leigh-Ann left fans wondering if his love for Camille really fizzled out so quickly or if they were still together. In his recent Instagram posts, Below Deck's Ben Willoughby gave a much-desired update on their romance.

The Below Deck star, who previously confirmed he and Camille embarked on their planned romantic getaway to the Dominican Republic, shared a montage of the trip, along with an emotional message revealing that their romance ended soon after. "We decided that this wasn’t meant to be and being honest that was a very tough pill to swallow," Ben wrote. "We are not together anymore. In a perfect world it would have been something of a fairytale."

Ben went on to admit that he and Camille fell in love "organically" and had many memories from their journey together. He left fans with some advice by saying, "Follow your heart in any direction it may lead, even if you know it may hurt." In the comments section, Ben also shared an update on his romance with Leigh-Ann. In response to a fan who asked if he attempted to fix things with the stew, the deckhand wrote, "Yes! But that didn't work either." He was blamed for orchestrating the demise of his love life by dating two different women within the same timeline.

Notably, Leigh-Ann's mid-season introduction painted Ben as yet another Below Deck star incapable of commitment. First was the heartbreaking revelation that Ben was sexting Leigh-Ann on the side for almost a year. By implication, he was already dating her online, long before his mesmerizing efforts to win over Camille. Then the star proceeded to lead Leigh-Ann on while supposedly still mourning the exit of his beloved Camille from the crew. The second stew even addressed the love triangle on social media, claiming he downplayed his romance with Camille when she asked about it and continued to lead her on.

It didn't help that crew members like Fraser Olender implied Ben was more compatible with Leigh-Ann than Camille. Leigh-Ann didn't hesitate to rekindle their romance when he reached out again after the breakup with Camille. Sadly, he left her without closure after getting a new job. Then there was the comparison of his romance with Camille to "a primary school crush." In hindsight, it appears Ben's affection for Camille was genuine, causing him to act irrationally with his other flame. In that case, the only justifiable cause for a mutual breakup would be if Camille was actually the person not invested in the relationship all along, as has been suspected.

Below Deck season 10 airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EST on Bravo.
