Heather Gay from The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is the latest charter guest on Below Deck Adventure, but while Bravo fans were excited about the impending crossover, Heather's appearance hasn't made the best impression among viewers. As two of Bravo's most popular franchises, several stars from The Real Housewives have starred on Below Deck and its respective spin-offs over the years. Alexis Bellino from The Real Housewives of Orange County celebrated her divorce on Below Deck season 7, for example, while The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Cynthia Bailey chartered the Eros with former co-star Claudia Jordan on Below Deck season 3.

Despite Kyle Dickard's controversial short-lived stint as deckhand, fans have enjoyed the new cast of Below Deck Adventure since the series premiered in early November. Below Deck fans were not only excited to watch Captain Kerry Titheradge and his crew sail around Norway instead of the typically-featured warm climates, but were intrigued when the first Below Deck Adventure trailer showed Heather and her RHOSLC co-star, Angie Harrington, as guests on the Mercury. Heather's charter kicked off on the December 6 episode, and while fans of Below Deck and The Real Housewives had high expectations, Heather has so far let Bravo viewers down.

Below Deck Adventure Fans Think Heather Gay Is Obnoxious

Between Jen Shah's ongoing legal battle and all the conflict between Lisa Barlow, Meredith Marks, and Heather's cousin Whitney Rose, Heather and her unexplained black eye on RHOSLC is used to bringing the drama. While Heather's personality stands out on RHOSLC, however, Below Deck Adventure fans who discussed her first charter episode on Reddit found Heather's constant sexual innuendos and over-the-top exclamations to be obnoxious. "[Heather's] trying way too hard," one person commented, while another Reddit user wrote, "Heather talking about not being a Mormon yet again. How do you make not being something your actual identity?"

Below Deck Adventure Fans Hate Heather Gay's Name Drops

Although Heather's declaration that she was "Mormon royalty," gave Below Deck Adventure fans and ex-Mormon stew Kasie Faddah a good laugh, Reddit users were unimpressed with Heather's constant high-end designer name-drops throughout the first part of her charter. While Heather is not the worst Below Deck charter guest so far, several fans criticized her for constantly talking about Balenciaga in a thread started by u/dramaaddicted. "Are you wearing Balenciaga shoes because you like them, or because they're Balenciaga?" one user questioned, while another Below Deck Adventure viewer wrote, "I haven't been liking [Heather] this season of SLC but her behavior was kind of [ick] on the episode."

While the first part of Heather's charter has failed to win over Below Deck fans, viewers will have to wait and see how the rest of her and Angie's Norwegian exploration plays out on the next episode of Below Deck Adventure. Although Heather's antics have helped her become a well-known housewife, she also hasn't made the strongest impression on the currently airing RHOSLC season 3. However, some think Heather's other co-star, Angie Katsanevas, might be a full-time housewife when RHOSLC season 4 is renewed. Despite Heather's rough entrance on Below Deck Adventure, there's no doubt that she has helped bring in viewers to the newest Below Deck spin-off.
