Becca Kufrin from Bachelor in Paradise is rumored to be involved with Blake Horstmann. While Bachelor Nation ponders the former The Bachelorette star's BIP stint, they are also wondering where Becca and her ex Blake stand. According to plenty of franchise fans, there are a lot of reasons why Becca and Blake shouldn't get back together. Still, three years later, Becca and Blake's relationship is once again making headlines. While there are people who want the two to rekindle their relationship, there are no guarantees that going back down that road will be beneficial for anyone, especially in light of Becca's BIP gig.

Ahead of Becca's debut in Mexico, Blake spoke with Kate Casey on her podcast, Reality Life with Kate Casey. He shared that in between Becca's breakup with Garrett Yrigoyen and her time in Paradise, the Bachelor franchise stars had been in contact for roughly six months. He also said that the news of Becca and Garrett's split last fall shocked him, forcing him to re-examine his feelings towards the former Bachelorette. However, it appears that once Becca made the decision to commit to Bachelor in Paradise, the communication between the two exes ended. Blake may be waiting to see how Paradise treats Becca in the romance department. Considering the previews for the season so far, there doesn't seem to be any guarantees that they'll start talking again once BIP is over.

Unlucky in Love?

Becca's decision to appear in Paradise after being in contact with Blake makes it seem unlikely that the two will rekindle their relationship. Although Blake has emphasized that he is waiting to see how Becca's time in Mexico goes before entertaining the idea of resuming their relationship, Becca will probably find love one way or another. This is likely considering her past two Bachelor franchise engagements through The Bachelor and The Bachelorette.

As for Blake and his time in Paradise, it was anything but heavenly. Coming in as the supposed ladies man of season six, Blake already had a target on his back. He was the catalyst for drama. During his time in Mexico, Blake was linked with multiple women, including Caelynn Miller-Keyes and Kristina Schulman, seemingly making him the villain of season six. With this reputation in mind (at least, in terms of Paradise), it would make sense for Becca to want to be open to exploring other romances before trying her luck with Blake again.

Better as Friends

Some fans believe that the two have not only been communicating with one another for six plus months ahead of Paradise, but also flirting. Blake, however, made sure to emphasize the status of their friendship back in March, when he was a guest on Us Weekly's podcast, Here For The Right Reasons. "Me and Becca have a great relationship. We talk, we're friends," he said. "He added, "We're close friends and everything. And we're, like, always gonna have each other's back and care for each other. But I don't know why everybody was shipping us or still is shipping us so hard."

Blake has also suggested that even if he and Becca resumed their relationship post-Bachelor in Paradise, there's no guarantee that the supposed 'Bachelor Powers That Be" would be happy with the relationship. They might potentially try to sabotage it. With Becca's involvement with the franchise, not only as a contestant but as the host of the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast, some people are giving a lot of weight to what Blake is saying.
