Hawkeye actor Fra Fee has been cast in Disney’s upcoming Beauty and the Beast prequel series. The Northern Irish actor, who has a strong list of theater credits, has starred in musical films such as 2012's Les Miserables and 2021’s Cinderella. At the end of last year, he made his MCU debut as the villainous co-leader of the tracksuit mafia, a dangerous but somewhat inept gang that causes trouble for series heroes Hawkeye and Kate Bishop.

Fee now looks set to continue his Disney+ connection as he joins the cast of the platform’s Beauty and the Beast spinoff. The series, reportedly titled The Little Town, acts as prequel to the 2017 live-action remake of the Disney classic and will see Josh Gad’s LeFou and Luke Evans’ Gaston return in a new musical adventure in episodic format. Alongside the returning comedy duo, Variety reports that Fee has been cast as Prince Benoit Berlioz, a handsome royal who has a romantic connection to LeFou’s sister, Louise. The series is written by Gad alongside Once Upon A Time’s Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis.

Fee joins the Hollywood duo of Evans and Gad in a stacked principal cast that also features The Tender Bar’s Brianna Middleton as Louise. Along with the stars, original music for the show is being written by Alan Menken, the veteran Disney songwriter behind the original film. Not much else is known about the series, but the Beauty & the Beast prequel has been given an 8-episode order and will be heading to Disney+ sometime in the near future.
