A talented Beauty and the Beast fan has created a spot-on "Be Our Guest" parody, which encourages viewers to wear a mask. Beauty and the Beast is one of Disney's most beloved stories. The animated film debuted in 1991 and dazzled fans with the gorgeous score and incredible animation. Nearly 30 years later, Disney released its live-action Beauty and the Beast remake, which starred Emma Watson as Belle and Dan Stevens as the Beast.

While Beauty and the Beast is famed for its catchy musical numbers, one of its most famous songs is "Be Our Guest." In Disney's 1991 movie, the song is primarily performed by Lumière (Jerry Orbach), a kind-hearted candelabra who seeks to make Belle feel more welcome. Lumière's flair for dramatics leads to a truly spectacular dinner, complete with dancing silverware, iridescent lights, and, of course, the "grey stuff."

Noah Lindquist created a fantastic YouTube parody of "Be Our Guest," entitled "Wear a Mask." The two-minute video follows Lumière and the rest of the gang as they dance their way through dinner. This time, though, they're singing lyrics like, "And it's not 'just the flu,' so wear a mask" and "Have some faith in Fauci! Wear a mask!" You can catch this extremely timely Beauty and the Beast parody below:

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has drastically impacted the lives of people around the world. COVID-19 has already killed hundreds of thousands of people; however, it's been scientifically proven that wearing a mask can slow the spread of the deadly virus. As such, countless celebrities and actors have rallied together to encourage fans to wear masks. For instance, Ant-Man and Living With Yourself star Paul Rudd made a PSA back in September, encouraging fans to wear a mask; the cast of Amazon Prime's The Boys released a video that conveyed the same concept. To that end, while seeing Lumière and Mrs. Potts singing about wearing masks is entertaining, the message they're trying to send is a painstakingly relevant one.

Although 2017's Beauty and the Beast remake added its twist on certain characters, the animated film will always be remembered for its unparalleled sense of magic. Disney has taken heat recently for its string of live-action remakes; while some have been fairly well-received, others, such as The Lion King, have fallen flat. That being said, many fans wonder why Disney feels the need to remake its already iconic animated films at all. However, Lindquist's "Wear A Mask" shows that it is, in fact, possible to make something that's already good even better.
