Fans of the live-action musical motion picture event that is Beauty and the Beast will be pleased to know that the first trailer for the Blu-ray release has just been posted online - an announcement that comes with plenty of special features in tow. Based on the classic animated Disney musical of the same name from 1991, the Bill Condon-directed remake starring Emma Watson and Dan Stevens proved to be the highest-grossing PG film of all time after earning well over $1 billion at the box office worldwide in ticket sales alone.
Fans of the original animated movie musical compositions by Alan Menken have apparently been swept off their feet by the all-new live-action interpretations of several familiar Beauty and the Beast showstoppers - in addition to a few added set pieces and songs - and as such, Condon and company have successfully delivered another Disney blockbuster. And amidst speculation about a potential Beauty and the Beast sequel, the trailer for the Blu-ray release of the 2017 movie has just arrived online.
In the footage featured above, potential owners of Beauty and the Beast on Blu-ray can get a first look at all that the latest home video release from Disney holds in store for the film's most ardent fans, starting June 6. The release includes such exciting behind the scenes special features as a table read of the movie's script with the entire cast, as well as a documentary feature exploring the means by which the Disney animated classic was updated as a live-action fantasy film.
