The official trailer for The Beatles: Get Back has dropped, unveiling the new documentary series about the Fab Four that is heading to Disney+ this November. Peter Jackson's new three-part documentary covers the making of The Beatles' iconic 1970 Let It Be album. Drawing from material originally captured by Michael Lindsay-Hogg's documentary about the album from the same year, Get Back will also feature brand new, never-before-seen footage.

Each episode of Jackson's new docuseries will be about two hours in length. They will cover the challenges and long-time assertions that the making of the album was stained by ill-feeling, with the once friendly camaraderie among the band completely dissipated. Despite these assertions, The Beatles' Let It Be album topped record charts in multiple countries upon its release and achieved massive commercial success. The album features iconic Beatles songs, such as Across the UniverseDig a Pony, and the titular track, Let It Be. Because of the albums commercial success and less than favorable critical reception, it remains one of the most controversial rock albums of all time.

Via their YouTube account, Walt Disney Studios dropped the official trailer for Jackson's upcoming show. Detailing the highs and lows of one of the most famous bands in history, the trailer paints The Beatles in a new light. Along with the trailer, Disney also mentions in the video description that Jackson's series will feature, "nearly 60 hours of unseen footage shot over 21 days," as well as "more than 150 hours of unheard audio." In addition to covering the making of the Let It Be album, it seems Jackson's documentary will also feature the entire 44-minute last live performance of the group, which took place as a rooftop concert on London's Savile Row. The series will also feature other songs and compositions that were featured on The Beatles' iconic album, Abbey Road. One of the most anticipated aspects about the upcoming series is the completely new footage that has been "locked in a vault for over half a century." Apparently, Jackson is the only person "in 50 years to have been given access to this Beatles treasure trove." The footage has been re-mastered and restored for a modern audience.

The Beatles took the world by storm when they hit the music scene in the 1960s, and they are still remembered as one of the most influential bands to this day. Known for their impressive musical range and brilliantly composed songs, the Fab Four released an impressive amount of number one hits in their day. The trailer for The Beatles: Get Back will surely wet the whistle of any Beatles fan, who can look forward to watching the final docuseries once it drops on Disney+ over a three day period from November 25 to 27.
