Batwoman's Javicia Leslie shows off her new suit in a cool set video. Batwoman is part of the CW's Arrowverse, which consists of superhero shows that range from Supergirl to Legends of Tomorrow. Season 1 of Batwoman starred Ruby Rose as Kate Kane, who quickly became a fan favorite thanks to Rose's passionate, complex performance.

However, Batwoman experienced a major casting shake up earlier this year when Rose announced she was leaving the show. In response, showrunners decided to create an entirely new character to take up the mantle of Batwoman. As a result, Ryan Wilder - described as a tough ex-drug runner - was born. The CW later confirmed that Ryan would be portrayed by Leslie, which makes her the first Black actress to play Batwoman on television.

Leslie shared a set video via Twitter that showcases her new costume. Leslie strikes several poses in front of the camera, before breaking out in a grin and saying she's done. The video spotlights Leslie's suit, which features a red bat symbol across her chest, red gauntlets, and a red cape interior. You can check out Leslie's video below:

While Ryan Wilder will wear Kate's old costume for the first few episodes of season 2, she will officially debut her new Batwoman suit in episode 3. The costume has a myriad of features that were designed specifically for Leslie's character. The new Batwoman suit will be much brighter than its predecessor, and feature more red throughout. For instance, Ryan's utility belt will have a bright red Bat symbol in the center, which makes it much more recognizable. While it's not shown in the set video, Ryan will also wear a wig, just as Kate Kane did. Ryan's wig, though, has curly hair highlighted with red streaks. This costume revamp is a testament to the individuality of Ryan Wilder's character. To that end, it's good to know that the Batwoman team understands that Ryan has her own style and is ready to uplift Leslie as the CW's first Black Batwoman.

Batwoman's costume refresh isn't the only change that showrunners are making to the series. More specifically, while Kate Kane was seen riding a motorcycle in season 1, Ryan will be cruising around Gotham in a brand new Batmobile. As such, it's clear that Ryan is set to make quite the entrance on the beloved CW show - and that Leslie seems more than ready to transform Ryan Wilder into an iconic Batwoman character.
