Recent set photos from Batwoman season 2 show Luke Fox's new Batwing costume. Batwoman is in the midst of an exciting run of episodes after spending the first part of season 2 introducing the show's new Batwoman, Ryan Wilder. Though the first several episodes left some viewers believing Ruby Rose's Kate Kane was dead after the plane crash shown in the season premiere, it was soon revealed she was in fact alive. Now, Wallis Day has joined the show as the new version of Kate who has been made to believe she is actually the villain Black Mask's daughter.

Camrus Johnson's Luke has played a major role in all of season 2's developments, including helping Ryan become more comfortable with her role as Batwoman. Through it all, there has been increased speculation Luke will soon suit up as Batwing, his superhero persona from the comics. These theories increased with Batwoman season 2 episode 14, which left Luke in a life-threatening situation. However, new set photos suggest he's not only alive but finally suiting up as Batwing.

The Batwoman set photos come from Canadagraphs, a site that frequently posts images from filming on the various Arrowverse series. PortalDCTV then shared the photos of Luke in his Batwing costume to Twitter. Check them out below:

The new images are exciting for a couple of different reasons. One, they indicate Luke most likely survives, baring some sort of dream sequence. Two, it's great to finally see the character embody his superhero alter ego from the comics. Though it's hard to get a close look at the Batwing suit in these images, they suggest a look that's somewhat similar to the comics. It's been an exciting season for costumes on the Arrowverse series, as Ryan got a new Batwoman suit of her own soon after her debut.

Though Luke is an essential part of the Bat-Team by running point on missions and crafting gadgets in the Batcave, it will be fun to see him out in the field a little more. This is a turn many Arrowverse characters have taken in the past after largely staying out of fights. For example, Cisco and Caitlin on The Flash spent time as Vibe and Killer Frost, respectively, while Supergirl's Kelly Olsen will soon take up her brother's mantle as Guardian. However, the inclusion of Batwing is especially neat, since he's a fairly big character from DC Comics. Hopefully, the Batwoman episode where Luke finally suits up is worth the wait.
