The first look image of Ruby Rose as Batwoman in the Arrowverse is here. This year's DC crossover on The CW will only be a three night event that includes The FlashArrow, and Supergirl. While all of the main cast members will be included, the Elseworlds crossover is going to have major guest stars. Tyler Hoechlin's Superman is one of them, but the crossover will be the first time the Arrowverse goes to Gotham. Instead of finding Bruce Wayne/Batman when they visit, they'll instead get to meet Ruby Rose's Batwoman.

Ever since the Arrowverse revealed that Batwoman would be joining their universe, fans have been eager to get a look at the character. Arrow star Stephen Amell previously teased his reaction to presumably seeing Rose try on the costume for the first time, but no official look had yet been released. Thankfully, that has now changed.

As reported by TVLine, The CW officially revealed the first image of Ruby Rose as Batwoman today. Rose's appearance and costume looks straight out of the comics. She's got the long scarlet hair, pale white skin, and bright red lipstick to go along with a killer costume. It is a great first look and one that will hopefully translate well when it is actually in motion.

Rose was cast as Batwoman earlier this year in what proved to be a very emotional role for her to land. Just like Kane, Rose is openly part of the LGBTQ community and saw this as a great opportunity to help shine a spotlight on the underrepresented community on screen. Many supported her casting, but there was also some backlash strong enough to make Rose leave Twitter. She's still had the support of Arrowverse stars and producers, and she certainly fits the role visually.

Although Rose is only confirmed to be part of the three-night crossover so far, The CW already has larger plans for her. It was revealed this summer that the network was developing a solo TV series centered around Batwoman, one that Rose will star in if it moves forward. Although the series has yet to be officially announced, there's already reports that it could film next spring before premiering in the fall of 2019. These plans could be contingent on how well Rose's Batwoman is received in the crossover, though. Without having seen her in action, Rose is off to a great start with this first Batwoman image and will hopefully be part of the Arrowverse for the foreseeable future.
