Even after launch, Battlefield 2042 has its fair share of new problems being discovered every day, and the latest bug to the surface is related to players not being able to use their loadouts. This bug can get frustrating, as players need to make new loadouts and even change the attachments from the pause menu mid-game. Usually, players would pre-assign attachments in the Plus System before entering a match and switch it on the fly; however, this latest bug in Battlefield 2042 is preventing them from doing that.

Battlefield 2042’s current state makes it harder for players to choose their loadout, as sometimes they are either missing or greyed out. In some instances, players cannot even change the loadout because they cannot select them from the customization menu. It's possible that the loadout bug could be related to server problems in Battlefield 2042, but that remains to be confirmed.

The list of bugs in Battlefield 2042 isn’t short, but thankfully, a temporary remedy can be used to avoid the loadout bug. It’s worth pointing out that the quick temporary fix may need to be repeated until the problem is patched out. The loadout bug in Battlefield 2042 is just another issue on the list that needs urgent fixing. However, thanks to players on the Battlefield 2042 subreddit, there is a way to get loadouts working again.

How to Fix Battlefield 2042 Loadout Bug

Battlefield 2042 Loadout Bug Fix & Reasons

As mentioned before, the fix for the loadout bug in Battlefield 2042 is temporary and could be time-consuming if players don’t remember their loadout. It seems like the loadout bug is somehow related to the crossplay settings. Disabling Battlefield's crossplay setting appears to have worked for players or, at the very least, reduces the chances of the bug appearing. Even though the Day 1 patch of Battlefield 2042 has improved the game’s performance, this bug is still persistent at the time of this writing.

Battlefield 2042 players can also fix the loadout bug by simply creating a new loadout mid-match. This method will take a bit of time as players will have to apply every attachment again. However, once they have completed recreating their loadout, they will be able to use their favorite weapon in Battlefield 2042 again.

Creating a new loadout each time the bug comes into effect can be frustrating; however, at this time, only the developers can permanently fix the problem. Battlefield 2042 certainly requires more patches to iron out all of the issues that are being discovered, but hopefully, DICE might resolve many of Battlefield 2042’s problems before it gets too late.
