Warning! Spoilers for Batman: Urban Legends by DC Comics #8 below

Kate Kane is joining the fight during DC Comics' Fear State event as an exclusive preview for Batman: Urban Legends #8 features Batwoman and Renee Montoya playing important roles in the current storyline. Batwoman will have to deal with the conflicting narratives from the Anti-Oracle, which has people across Gotham City believing Batman is dead and that Cassandra Cain is a killer. Along the way, she'll have to turn to Montoya and her sister, Red Alice.

Batman's Fear State event is currently underway across the current Batman storyline and Bat-Family-related titles. The event features the Scarecrow trying to control Gotham City with fear while teaming up with the Magistrate to stop and eliminate vigilantes. With DC Comics already revealing the dark future that Gotham holds in the Future State event should the Magistrate get a stranglehold of power in the city, the likes of Batman, the Next Batman, Nightwing, Batgirl, and more are teaming up to prevent it from ever happening. Now, Batwoman is about to join the fight, and we've got an exclusive preview of the popular hero's arrival.

Batwoman will attempt to stop the Magistrates' disinformation campaign in the first part of the two-issue story in the upcoming Batman: Urban Legends anthology series. In Batman: Urban Legends #8's Batwoman-starring story by Alyssa Wong, Vasco Georgiev, Rain Beredo, and Becca Carey, Kate Kane will be forced to deal with the Anti-Oracle's false news about Batman's death and Cassandra Cain being a killer. In the story, Batwoman will team up with Renee Montoya and Red Alice. Check out out the exclusive preview pages for the story below.

Batman: Urban Legends #8 will feature three additional stories, including a Fear State tie-in starring The Outsiders by Brandon Thomas, Cian Tormey, Raul Fernandez, Alejandro Sanchez, and Steve Wands. Additionally, Christian Ward and Steve Wands will be the creative team behind a Halloween-themed story starring Professor Pyg being hunted down by Batman. Finally, the issue will also feature the first part of a new Azrael story from Dan Watters, Nikola Cizmesija, Ivan Plascencia, and Ariana Maher that sees the antihero return to Gotham City.

Batman: Urban Legends has proven to be a great vehicle for Bat-Family-related characters to get some additional shine in their own stories. Hopefully, like Batman Beyond before her, Batwoman's story serves as a pilot of sorts for a potential ongoing series because it's been way too long since we've seen the continued adventures of the hero. Batman: Urban Legends #8 is in comic book stores on October 12.
