Rumor Patrol: Batman V Superman 'Secret Villain' Revealed

Batman v Superman

[Potential SPOILERS for Batman V Superman ahead.]

Ever since the premiere of the third feature length trailer for the forthcoming DC Comics event that is director Zach Snyder's Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, fans have been left unsure of how to feel about the latest supervillain sighting - namely the stoney face of Doomsday, as was revealed in the aforementioned footage. Snyder has already come forward to assuage any doubts or fears about the overall quality of his new movie, and has stated that the film's script will focus on the mythology of Doomsday within a "coherent" DCU.

Based on what we've seen so far, it remains difficult to say with any certainty whether or not Spyder's comments about Batman V Superman will ultimately prove to hold water. Nevertheless, the rumor train surrounding the film keeps chugging ahead, and now brings us word that another seminal DC Comics super-villain will also be making an appearance in the movie too.

Latino-Review is claiming that the "secret villain" who will appear during Batman V Superman is none other than Bizarro, a DC super-villain whose origins will (allegedly) be explored in an undisguised setup for events soon to come in Snyder's two Justice League films. For the time being though, there are no hard confirmations for this new piece of information that concerns the Batman V Superman screenplay - which, as a reminder, was penned by David S. Goyer (Man of Steel) and re-written by Chris Terrio (Argo) - beyond the insight provide by LR's anonymous sources claiming to have said key information about the project.

Bizarro Man of Steel 2 Movie

In the last trailer for Batman v Superman, we learned that Lex Luthor has gotten his hands on both a small store of Kryptonite and General Zod's lifeless corpse following the events of Man of Steel. This, as noted by LR, might suggest that Luthor will create Bizarro in a manner that would take its cues from the Post-Crisis DC Comics storyline. If such events prove to be the case, than a flawed Superman clone could be a future threat posed to the impending JLA.

It's worth noting that the Bizarro rumor doesn't gel with an alleged plot breakdown of Batman V Superman that leaked online recently, though it remains to be seen if either of these rumors ultimately have any truth to them at all. Although fans have undoubtedly poured over all of the amassed Batman V Superman footage released so far, it's for related reasons that we can fairly say: the exact storyline and narrative arc featured in the film are still very much a perplexing mystery for now.

Nevertheless, all this rumor-mongering and speculation surrounding Batman V Superman gives us something to ponder while we await the arrival of more information - leaving even the more skeptical viewers to remain curious about just what will happen in Snyder's movie (and exactly how many DC Comics characters are, in fact, going to make an appearance, anyway).
