Their goodbye is interrupted by Perry White, who gives Kent his newest assignment: attending a benefit for the Library of Metropolis. A slower paced story than Clark is after, but one for which he has been specifically requested. Meanwhile, the old charity crone behind his invite welcomes the Senator from the great state of Kentucky--and is scandalized by her thoughts on bourbon.
