Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice will bring Metropolis and Gotham City together for the first time on the big screen. Not only will the Cape Crusader and the Man of Tomorrow go head-to-head in an epic showdown, but audiences will also see their alter egos, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) and Clark Kent (Henry Cavill), face off too, as we've already seen in trailers and TV spots.

Wayne and Kent seem to having an inkling of one another's secret identity as Batman and Superman, respectively, based on their non-costumed interactions in the Batman V Superman trailers. However, it's unclear if the other people in their lives, like Lois Lane, are likewise clued into both Wayne and Kent's alter egos (since Lois already knows the truth about the latter).

In an interview with Empire Magazine, Amy Adams talked about where her character Lois Lane fits in with Batman V Superman. Lane played a big role in Man of Steel, as Clark Kent's connection to Metropolis and The Daily Planet newspaper. At the end of the superhero movie, Lois Lane and Clark Kent are already a couple. Adams revealed that the pair are living together in Metropolis and Kent is Lane's anchor and, ironically, connection to humanity. Adams explained:

"She may have some tunnel vision, but she's got a job, moral standards. [When] we met her before she would do anything to get the story - now Clark has instilled some faith in humanity in her. Her relationship with Clark is the closes thing she has to anything faith-based, you know? Although moving in with Clark brings issues."

Batman V Superman Who Will Win

It's going to be interesting to see how Clark Kent and Lois Lane's relationship will develop, since it started off as a journalist/subject relationship and then became romantic by the end of Man of Steel. At the beginning of Batman V Superman, they're living and working together at The Daily Planet. While it's unclear what the "issues" Clark and Lois have, Cavill confirmed they're relationship problems, saying "It's not a normal relationship. How could it be? One of them is an alien."

In addition, when asked if Lois Lane shares any screen time with Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Adams responded, "I am too busy sleuthing, but she definitely brings another dynamic." Adams continue to say that Lois would be sharing a scene with the Dark Knight, saying that she did some "wirework and special effects work" for Batman V Superman and their scene together is "a big moment" in the superhero movie.

From the trailers, it seems that Batman has come out of retirement and has appeared in Metropolis. His appearance in the city might interest Lois into investigating why he's been spotted in their city after so many years out of the limelight. Through her "sleuthing," Lois Lane might discover Batman is really Bruce Wayne - and in turn, inform Clark about the Cape Crusader's real identity.
