Batman and Superman are the world's finest heroes, as their friendship and superhero team-ups are the stuff of legend. However, the duo hasn't always seen eye-to-eye and faced off against one another with their disagreements turning occasionally violent. In an upcoming comic adventure, the two DC Comics heroes will fight each other in the battle arena.
Batman and Superman are allies more often then they're not, but that doesn't mean the friends and fellow Justice League heroes haven't had some scuffles. The pair have exchanged blows in the past in both silly and serious fashion. DC's Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice showcased perhaps the biggest disagreement between the pair, as Batman famously asked the Man of Steel, "do you bleed?" Batman will look to answer that question again as he'll face Superman in dramatic fashion in the upcoming Batman/Superman Annual #1.
In previews for Batman/Superman Annual #1 by Joshua Williamson, Dave Eaglesham, Clayton Grain, and Gleb Melnikov, Batman and Superman find themselves in the fifth dimension, home of the supervillain Mister Mxyzptlk. The issue teases a fight between the Caped Crusader and the Man of Tomorrow, with a definitive winner being teased. The fight is previewed as "a slugfest" that features a "whole lot of magic." It appears Mr. Mxzptlk and Bat-Mite are pulling the strings behind the fight as the cover art shows the two imps watching the heroic fight below. If you're wondering how a powerless hero can take down a powerful God-like being, it seems Batman has a kryptonite chain to level the playing field. The arena also features DC's most powerful villains including Darkseid, the Joker, Poison Ivy, Bizarro, Lex Luthor, Two-Face, Mr. Freeze, and Kalibak.
