Warning! Spoilers for Batman/Superman World's Finest #4 by DC Comics

Thanks to some magic and a Green Lantern Power Ring, Batman and Superman just became a one-person Justice League combination hero. In Batman/Superman World's Finest #4 by DC Comics, the Dark Knight and the Man of Steel merge together after an intense battle with the Devil Nezha and a mind-controlled Hal Jordan, creating one of the most incredible new combo characters ever with a terrific new look.

In the new World's Finest series from DC Comics, Batman and Superman are facing a new villain called the Devil Nezha, a warlord from ancient China who embraced magic to become a conqueror after his dangerous resurrection. However, after being locked away for his crimes, he was freed from thousands of years of magical imprisonment and attempted to get revenge on a civilization he believed should be more advanced and disciplined. Unfortunately, the Devil Nehza has recruited magical villains, including Felix Faust and Doctor Alchemy, to gain more power, putting him in direct conflict with Batman and Superman. To make matters worse, the villain also has gained control of Green Lantern, Alfred, and several other heroes.

In Batman/Superman World's Finest #4 by Mark Waid, Dan Mora, Tamra Bonvillain, and Aditya Bidihar by DC Comics, Superman gets hit hard by Green Lantern's constructs after the mind-controlled hero is powered by magic. As the Devil Nezha reveals his plan to make all of humanity his mind-controlled army, Batman grabs Doctor Alchemy's Philosopher Stone and blocks Hal's attacks. However, the Dark Knight realizes that Green Lantern's willpower is compromised under the villain's control, leading them to push through his constructs and gain his Power Ring. As a result, Batman and Superman become one Justice League combination hero.

Batman Superman Combination Hero

Batman and Superman aren't entirely sure how they fused into one hero, as ambient magic and thinking "as one" seems to be responsible for their lantern fusion. No matter the official cause, the combination of Justice League heroes into a single form proves to be a powerhouse, having the best-combined abilities (and costumes) of Batman, Superman, and Green Lantern, including flight, construct-creation, and elite hand-to-hand fighting skills. The Devil Nezha's mind-controlled heroes, including Martian Manhunter, Flash, and Firestorm, are no match for the combination hero, as he masterfully creates constructs that stop them. The fight ends with the combo hero flying in the air with the Devil Nezha and splitting up as the lantern fusion ends.

In the end, Superman and Batman barely have time to react to becoming a combination hero, as they're thrown immediately into action and end up working together as one. Hopefully, it's not the last readers see of the joint powers and looks of the Justice League's Superman/Batman/Green Lantern combination character, as he ended up being one of the most powerful fusions of heroes ever. Ultimately, taking on their mind-controlled superpowered allies and temporarily stopping the ancient villain showed how effective the new form could be. Readers can see the merged hero in action as Batman/Superman World's Finest #4 by DC Comics is in comic book stores now.
