Robert Pattinson dons a Batsuit in some cool fan art for The Batman. The days of Ben Affleck playing the Dark Knight have already passed, less than three years after he first appeared. His debut in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was initially supposed to kick off a full arc for his grizzled version of the hero, which would include him writing and directing his solo movie. These plans have been discarded now, and Warner Bros. and DC Films put Matt Reeves in charge of arguably their most iconic character.

While Reeves has to figure out how to make the first solo Batman movie after Christopher Nolan, there was always going to be a lot of pressure on whoever would take Affleck's place. Robert Pattinson is the choice for WB and Reeves, who confirmed as much recently on social media. The casting of Pattinson leaves him with several months to prepare to play the world's greatest detective, but comes after he did a costume test so Reeves and the studio could see him in a suit.

While the costume test saw Pattinson wear a previous version of the Batsuit, he'll get his own look for The Batman. Fans are eager to see what he'll look like under the cowl, and now Jarold Sng has imagined one possibility. Pattinson can be seen below in several pieces of fan art wearing a full and uniquely designed Batsuit.

Since this is just a piece of fan art, it's unlikely that this is precisely how Pattinson's Batsuit will look, even though it does have a great design. Unfortunately, it could be a while until an official image of Pattinson in the suit is released. Production on The Batman will begin late this year or early next year, so that could be the soonest a look at him arrives either officially or through set photos. That said, now that Pattinson is confirmed to be the choice, WB could surprise us with pieces of concept art of him in the suit at San Diego Comic-Con next month.

While we don't know what Reeves wants the suit to look like, more details on his vision for Pattinson's Batman recently surfaced. This new version of Batman is said to be 30 years old in-universe, making him significantly younger than when Affleck portrayed him. Audiences will also be spared from seeing Batman's origin again, but he will also still be relatively inexperienced in the superhero game and far from the world's greatest detectiveThe Batman is rumored to be using multiple iconic villains and Robin too, so it sounds like Reeves' story will combine the old with the new. Hopefully, his Batsuit will do the same.
