Batman and Robin are teaming up in the pages of DC Comics once again. Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson will reunite in the upcoming Batman #99, as the Dynamic Duo will take on the Joker, Punchline, and more threats in the 'Joker War' storyline.
Dick's had a really rough go of things in his current Nightwing series, as he lost his memories after being shot in the head by the villainous KGBeast. He dawned the mantle of 'Ric Grayson' and completely abandoned the Nightwing moniker - which proved to be an extremely controversial decision among readers. Currently, Nightwing is slowly remembering bits and pieces of his life, as he encounters the Joker in the recently released Nightwing #71. In previews for Batman #99, Dick is back in his Nightwing uniform and might be remembering more about his past ahead of the 'Joker War.'
In a brand new preview for the upcoming 'Joker War' story arc, Nightwing is set to return to Gotham City just in time for the Joker's biggest scheme to date. The preview teases that Nightwing still is struggling with his memories. Meanwhile, Batman needs some help in taking down the Clown Prince of Crime. The preview poses the question of whether Dick's memories will return as the fighting starts to break out.
DC Comics also dropped small previews of Batman #98. That issue will see Harley Quinn stepping up to help Batman after he takes a dose of Joker's new experimental toxin. Punchline will also join the fight for the Joker. It seems Batman will be in tough teaming up with a number of different former allies and foes in order to stop the Joker from completely overtaking Gotham.
