Here's what The Boys' Karl Urban would look like as Batman. Over the years, Urban has accumulated roles in several major film franchises, from The Lord of the Rings to the rebooted Star Trek films. He even managed to score a cameo in last year's Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, to the amusement of fans. Currently, he stars as the brash Billy Butcher on Amazon's The Boys. As the leader of the titular Boys, Butcher seeks to take down the superteam known as the Seven, particularly when it comes to their leader Homelander (Antony Starr).

One place where Urban hasn't traveled to yet is the DC universe. In the past, Urban has said he would be open to the idea of playing Batman, though so far that hasn't come to pass. Instead, Robert Pattinson is primed to take over as the Dark Knight in 2022's The Batman, a story that operates outside of the DCEU. Within the connected universe, Ben Affleck will reprise his Batman for The Flash, meaning fans will get to see two different Batmen over the next few years.

Still, fans are always imagining different actors taking on various iconic roles, hence the creation of this art of Urban as Batman. Designed by graphic artist Rinsh, Urban dons his own Batsuit (which appears to be reminiscent of Pattinson's from The Batman) while still maintaining his Butcher facial hair. Based on this piece alone, he'd definitely make a good Bruce Wayne. Check it out down below.

The Boys' Butcher is a far cry from Bruce, but Urban has proven he can handle a variety of characters. Still, it's safe to say he'll have his hands tied with The Boys for a while. Though season 2 wraps up this week, Amazon has already renewed the subversive superhero show for a third season, and if it's even a little bit as successful as what's come before, fans can be guaranteed a fourth will arrive sometime after. Urban has truly shined as Butcher, especially as season 2 gradually pulls back some of his rough exterior to dig into his backstory.

There will likely always be a Batman in pop culture, as he's one of the most iconic superheroes of all time. If The Batman proves to be a hit, Pattinson will surely stick around for at least two other movies. Whether Affleck will remain in the role after The Flash isn't clear yet, but many fans hope he will. Beyond that, the future of the Caped Crusader is a mystery, though it'll be thrilling to see what comes next for him. It just might not include Urban, but at least he has The Boys to keep him in the superhero realm.
