The Batman star Zoë Kravitz estimates her Catwoman costume could have been unveiled by now had the coronavirus pandemic not broken out. Production on the highly-anticipated DC film began earlier this year and stirred up much excitement on the internet. However, it wasn't long before things ground to a halt again, as the coronavirus pandemic shut down filming back in March. Director Matt Reeves initially hoped to pick back up within two weeks, but as the situation worsened, that shutdown was extended. Thanks to new guidelines within the U.K., The Batman could start again soon, though the set will need to implement a plethora of new health rules before it can do so.

Kravitz is set to play Catwoman opposite Robert Pattinson's Batman, and she, like many others, has been itching to get back to work. Reeves hasn't revealed many details about The Batman's plot, but various cast members have all praised the script. Paul Dano, who will be playing the Riddler, said he believes The Batman's script has the potential to be very powerful. Expectations are certainly high for this one, especially since Reeves has hinted he'll be taking a more unique approach to the iconic character.

Kravitz appeared on Josh Horowitz's podcast Happy Sad Confused to talk about a variety of topics, and conversation inevitably turned to The Batman. Fans are quite eager to see Catwoman's costume for the first time, and Kravitz thinks that it might've been revealed by now if the pandemic hadn't struck. As Kravitz told Horowitz, "I think if this hadn't happened, I think it would've come out by now."

The Batman Zoe Kravitz Catwoman SR

This makes sense, seeing as Reeves shared the first official look of Pattinson's Batsuit all the way back in February. Aside from that image, as well as peeks at the Batmobile, the only glimpses of The Batman fans have received are set photos, which aren't always the best indicators of what things look like. Nonetheless, this suggests that there's a chance Catwoman's suit will be revealed once production on The Batman resumes. So far, Kravitz's Catwoman haircut is all that has been officially revealed of her costume, and that's only because Kravitz was seen in public with it.

There's also another likely spot for a costume reveal: DC FanDome. The virtual convention was announced yesterday and promises to be the go-to destination for big reveals about future DC projects. This definitely includes The Batman. DC FanDome will have a wide variety of celebrity guests, with people like James Gunn, Zack Snyder, and Dwayne Johnson already confirmed. It would make sense to have a few people from The Batman on hand as well, like Pattinson or Kravitz. If that's the case, then maybe fans will get to see Catwoman's new suit in just over two months from now.
