Warning! Spoilers ahead for Batman #110!

Batman's new ally Miracle Molly is facing a life and death situation, thanks to Gotham's new Peacekeeper. Recently, Batman and Miracle Molly became acquainted when Bruce went undercover to infiltrate the Unsanity Collective and dig some answers out of them. Even while he is in disguise, Miracle Molly knows that the masked man she is talking to is actually Batman. The interactions between the two set up the relationship that Batman has with Miracle Molly and the Unsanity Collective. It's clear that they aren't villains and Batman will side with them as they both have a strong distaste for Simon Saint and the Peacekeepers.

After Gotham's mayor Christopher Nakano signs on with Saint's Magistrate program, Batman comes face to face with the program's first Peacekeeper. That person is none other than Sean Mahoney, the one survivor of the A-Day attack on Arkham Asylum. Harley Quinn reveals something major that could explain Mahoney's behavior. He had a rep for being one of Arkham Asylum's most brutal guards. Despite his past, the city of Gotham is willing to turn a blind eye because of his supposed heroism. This is just the first of many terrible steps that the city will make, as Gotham inches nearer and nearer to how it was in Future State.

In Batman #110 by James Tynion IV, Jorge Jiminez, and Tomeu Morey, Miracle Molly is surrounded by Peacekeeper-01 and his forces after Batman escapes near-death at the hands of Peacekeeper-01. The two have an all-out brawl for a total of eighteen minutes, which spans most of the issue. Batman barely makes it out alive. Not everyone is as lucky as Batman as the Unsanity Collective's headquarters is invaded by Simon Saint's forces. And things aren't looking good for Miracle Molly.

As Miracle Molly surrenders, Peacekeeper-01 makes a call to Simon Saint, asking for lethal action to be approved. He claims that they're being met with armed resistance by the Unsanity Collective. The final panel of the issue is chilling as it highlights the sheer ruthless and bloodthirsty nature of Mahoney. Saint approves the use of lethal force on Miracle Molly and the Unsanity Collective, despite the fact that they are unarmed and have surrendered. The two of them don't care about human life and are just searching for recognition. In this case, taking down the so-called deadly terrorists known as the Unsanity Collective is sure to garner attention and will lead towards the next step in Saint's plans.

Luckily, Batman and his team are aware of Saint and Peacekeeper-01's targeted attack on the Unsanity Collective. It looks like Miracle Molly's last hope will be a Bat-Family rescue, with even Nightwing is on his way to Gotham to assist. DC Comics has confirmed that Miracle Molly will have a large part to play in DC's upcoming Gotham-based event, Fear State. Miracle Molly is getting her own origin issue in the Batman: Secret Files series. Find out what will happen to Miracle Molly when Batman #111 releases on August 3.
