After being replaced as Batman, Bruce Wayne returned to the DC Universe with his Insider armor, a new suit that made him a one-man Justice League with his teammate's incredible powers. In one of his strangest disguises, Batman came back from the dead operating in an all-new costume capable of mimicking the powers of Superman, Flash, Aquaman, and the rest of his Justice League heroes. However, there was one huge drawback: Each time Wayne used an ability, it took up substantial energy from his suit.

In the Bruce Wayne: The Road Home series of one-shots from DC Comics, Bruce Wayne returned to Gotham City after being seemingly killed by Darkseid during Final Crisis. However, when he returned to his city, the world he once knew looked considerably different as Dick Grayson became the new Batman, with Bruce's son Damian as his Robin. While the former Batman would eventually reveal himself, he took on a new identity as the Insider with new armor making him a one-person Justice League that was one of the most powerful suits the Dark Knight had ever worn.

In Bruce Wayne: The Road Home series, Batman can be seen using his Insider suit with numerous Justice League powers. In a fight alongside the Red Robin, he uses heat vision (like Superman's) to slice a car in half. In a later issue, the Insider uses his suit's willpower mode (Green Lantern) to send a powerful blast of energy at an armed villain. With Veritas Mode, he recreates Wonder Woman's lasso to extract the truth from his opponents via sensors like a polygraph test. His most impressive power is his Speed Force Mode (Flash), where he taps into the Speed Force after Batgirl uncovers him after using his camouflage powers (Martian Manhunter) to run away using superspeed.

Insider Suit Batman Justice League

Batman's Insider suit proved incredibly effective, but it had a considerable weakness, making the armor unsustainable in the long run. Each time Bruce Wayne used one of his Justice League-based powers, it would drain energy from the suit and force him to recharge before being able to use it again. So, while the suit was incredible, it had considerable limitations once power was used.

In the end, the Insider suit was an effective disguise as Bruce Wayne came back to Gotham City to monitor what changed since he was gone. With the powers of the Justice League, Batman was able to use some incredible powers, which aided him in his return. However, with the limitations tied to power use, the Insider suit ended up being a temporary armor for Batman, as he would soon return to his usual role in the DC Universe.
