DC Comics has teased the 'Joker War' as an event that will change Gotham forever. After the conclusion of The Designer's plan, the 'Joker War' will begin with a bang. Joker has done extensive research on the Bat-Family, unveiling the secret identities for some of Batman's closest allies. It appears he intends on using his intel to mess with Batman in an unprecedented way. Joker is building an attack that's as powerful as he's ever planned - with Punchline by his side as he makes his move on Gotham City. The arc will also introduce a 'brutal' new character, Clownhunter.
In previews for the upcoming Batman #96 and #97 by James Tynion IV, Jorge Jimenez and Guillem March, Joker's plans are set in motion. Joker will release one of the worst Joker toxin attacks ever on Gotham, while Batman's will face the madness, assumably affected by the concoction. It seems the toxin will cause Batman to not have a full grip on what's real as Joker makes his moves. Thankfully, Harley Quinn might be able to help him see clearly. Issue #97 teases Joker's army getting bigger and bigger as he will be using weapons that are on an unprecedented level of power compared to what he previously used.
