Ever since Harley Quinn first debuted on Batman: The Animated Series back in 1992, she's been a huge hit. Though on the surface a female version of Joker, she's proven to be incredibly capable and dastardly in her own right. Thanks to her popularity, she quickly hopped over to The Batman Adventures, a comic continuation of the series. From there, she showed up in a couple of Elseworlds titles before finally getting her own graphic novel, Batman: Harley Quinn.

Her success has only continued, as Harley is one of DC's most popular characters, rivaling Batman for the number of books she's a part of and regularly posting huge sales numbers. As such, it was only a matter of time before she crossed over into live action. She was been teased on Arrow and may show up in some form on Gotham, Quinn properly came to life in last year's Suicide Squad, played by Margot Robbie. Unsurprisingly, the character was a hit, and plans for Gotham City Sirens, a spinoff involving her and other female anti-heroes, is in the works. Fans of Quinn won't have to wait that long to see her again, however.

Last summer, we heard a Batman and Harley Quinn animated movie was coming soon, and now we have our first look at the unlikely duo. World's Finest Online have found that one of the iTunes extras for Teen Titans: The Judas Contract is a still of Batman & Harley Quinn. You can check it out below.

As you can see, the style of the animated movie comes from the '90s series where Quinn debuted. It also looks to feature Nightwing in a prominent role. While nothing else is known about the movie, Bruce Timm, the venerable DC Animation producer, will be attached. As Quinn's co-creator, he's just the man to oversee the new project, which is sure to be exciting for fans of the celebrated Batman cartoon.

As for Harley Quinn on the big screen, she's naturally going to return for Suicide Squad 2 on top of Sirens. With Poison Ivy and Catwoman joining Harley in the latter film, the buzz over who will play the two popular characters is palpable. Recently, we heard Game of Thrones' Lena Headey was keen on the role. The idea of Cersei Lannister as Selina Kyle is certainly an intriguing one, so hopefully we'll get some casting news soon.

As for Batman & Harley Quinn, we'll bring you more info on as it arrives.
