Warning: contains spoilers for Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point #6!

Batman and Catwoman have finally escaped the Zero Point on Fortnite Island, but after returning to Gotham City, the Dark Knight learns some of DC and Fortnite's greatest villains are working together. In the final chapter of Batman/Fortnite Zero Point, Deathstroke meets with Lex Luthor, who reveals he's working alongside the Batman Who Laughs and Fortnite Island's chief villain Doctor Sloane in connecting their realities.

After agreeing to team up with Deathstroke to figure out how to escape Fortnite Island and its Ragnarok-like cycle of death and rebirth, Batman was betrayed once the pair discovered the Zero Point. To teleport back to Gotham City, Batman and Catwoman needed another person from their reality to activate the large glowing multiversal device. Batman learned Deathstroke hadn't had his memory wiped like every other DC hero upon entering the game's reality and was on the island for a mysterious purpose. Now, DC Comics revealed Deathstroke's reason for being on the island: He left an anchor on Fortnite'sreality that tethered his own reality with it.

In Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point "Part Six" by Donald Mustard, Christos Gage, Reilly Brown, Nelson DeCastro, John Kalisz, and Andworld Design, Batman and Catwoman come up with a plan to avoid being trapped on Fortnite Island. Realizing they need another person from their DC world to activate the Zero Point, the pair go after Harley Quinn - who has no desire to leave. Harley tells them she enjoys dressing up, fighting, and 'flossing' that goes with being on the island. After knocking out Harley and running into evil doppelgangers of themselves, the trio rifts to the Zero Point. Activating the vortex and opening a hole to their reality, Batman and Catwoman jump back to Gotham and go their separate ways once their memory is restored. However, the comic reveals why the Zero Point was activated in the first place.

Batman meets with Jim Gordon and tells him there's no way Deathstroke could have planned things by himself. The next scene reveals Deathstroke worked alongside Lex Luthor and left an anchor to the island to gain its vast power. The villains also worked with the Joker-esque Batman Who Laughs, who gave them insight into Batman and other realities. Luthor tips his cup to another villain revealed to be Fortnite's Doctor Sloane. She tells Luthor he delivered what she wanted, and now it's her turn to do the same - as a mysterious lightning rift opens above Gotham.

The reveal that Doctor Sloane, the main antagonist of Fortnite Chapter 7, is working alongside Lex Luthor, Deathstroke, and the Batman Who Laughs is terrible news for the DC Universe. With the tether between realities now set up, there's no telling what's about to be unleashed - as it's likely Sloane and Luthor will bring other Fortnite villains and creatures to their Earth in a never-ending quest for power. Additionally, the comic could be a tease for an upcoming crossover event in the Fortnite game - as the game has placed other worlds inside their map before. Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point #6 is in comic book stores now.
