One of Batman's most nightmarish forms is giving Wonder Woman the fight of her life in a seriously impressive cosplay display. One of Bruce Wayne's worst fears from the Dark Multiverse has practically leapt off the page in a new set that shows the true power of his twisted Merciless variant.
The Dark Multiverse is home to a number of unstable, broken worlds that are so twisted they never last for very long. One such world was Earth -12, where Bruce Wayne donned the helmet of the god of war, Ares, and became an unstoppable killing machine. The Batman Who Laughs recruited this version of Batman to join him in his crusade against the DC Universe. The godlike version of Bruce, also known as the Merciless, joined up with the team of twisted Batmen known as the Dark Knights and launched an assault seen in Dark Nights: Metal.
Wonder Woman and the Merciless had some pretty brutal battles in the pages of Dark Nights: Metal, and one cosplay set is bringing that intense war to life. In a series of photos posted by cjpropstudio on Instagram, Diana and her Dark Knight enemy battle one another. The mighty warrior Wonder Woman is dwarfed by the hulking frame of the Merciless. In one photo, she kneels before the power of the twisted Batman. And in another, the Merciless grasps Wonder Woman by the throat as the caption reads “Sorry Dianna, you shouldn't have tried to take off the helmet”. This photo set was done by rrimages2.
Wonder Woman Is No Match For Batman's God Form
Additional photos show just how intimidating the Merciless actually is. Another post by cjpropstudio shows the Dark Knight surrounded by lightning bolts as the fierce warrior Batman menaces at the camera directly. The lightning effect is added by cjpropstudio while the photography was done by otiscaseyphotography. The Merciless Batman cosplay really does capture the intimidating presence of this particular Dark Multiverse nightmare.
One final look at the Merciless really does communicate the intensity this version of Bruce Wayne brings. In another photograph by otiscaseyphotography that cjpropstudio posted, the Dark Knight looks to the viewer as an eerie red glow comes off from the side. The caption reads “There's no such thing as mercy with the merciless!!” and that’s exactly the sort of vibe that comes with this intimidating costume. It captures Batman’s traditional powerful aura, but the size and sinister glare, makes one think that this outfit really has come from the Dark Multiverse.
The Dark Knights of the Dark Multiverse are some of Bruce Wayne's biggest fears come to light. The Merciless in particular shows what could happen if Bruce gave into his darkest compulsion to kill. As anyone can see by cjpropstudio's posts, it wouldn't just be a nightmare for Batman, it'd be a horrifying thing for everyone involved. This cosplay set really shows the difficulty that even Wonder Woman would face against a god-level Batman.
