An upcoming fan-created movie titled Batman: Dying is Easy will pit the Dark Knight and the Joker against each other for an epic match-up. From Bat in the Sun productions - the same group of filmmakers behind Super Power Beat Down!, Batman vs Darth Vader, Predator vs Wolverine, and Spider-Man vs Darth Maul, their latest project brings together one of, if not the most popular arch-rival in comics.

Plot specifics for Batman: Dying is Easy are still scant at the moment, although main casting has Kevin Porter as Bruce Wayne/Batman and Aaron Schoenke as the Joker. No release date has been officially confirmed thus far with the team still raising money to complete the project. However, with production having already started, the filmmakers behind the movie have given fans an idea on what to expect from it, in case they want to chip in to the cause.

Posted on Bat in the Sun's official YouTube page is the announcement of the said film with both Porter and Schoenke giving fans the rundown of what's Batman: Dying is Easy will be all about. For those who are interested in helping them fund the Batman V Joker film, they have various financial goals ranging from $25,000 to as much as $100,000. The baseline allows them to complete the movie, but they're looking to create a much-longer movie with better set pieces and other additional character, hence the need for more funding. And to entice people to donate, they've included a short preview of their work - almost like a teaser, and from that alone, it's looks well-done. Watch the full video below:

There's no word yet about the possible match-up between Joker and Batman on the actual big screen. After Todd Phillips' Joker film starring Joaquin Phoenix, Warner Bros. is moving on with a separate Caped Crusader standalone with Matt Reeves' The Batman with Robert Pattinson. There's no indication whatsoever that these two films are somehow connected, or if at least one of them is tied to the established continuity in the DCEU. It can be remembers that the interconnected franchise once have Ben Affleck as the Batman, while Jared Leto portrayed the Clown Prince of Crime. There was an assumption that they'll eventually interact with each other with Suicide Squad establishing their connection, but with both actors now out of the universe, chances of that happening are slim to none.

So while a Batman and Joker film remains elusive - at least when one looks at the current Warner Bros./DC slate, fans can get their fix for the character in the upcoming Batman: Dying is Easy project. Granted it's made by fans without any major studio backing, it's would be wise to not write it off so quickly. As the creator pointed out in their video, they want other fans to be involved not just financially, but also creative in some ways, so there's really no harm in checking it out.
