In Aquaman: The Becoming #1 by Brandon Thomas, Diego Glortegui, Wade Von Grawbadger, Adriano Lucas, and Andworld Design, the issue opens with a fiery battle between Jackson Hyde and a group of Parademons on Apokolips. Aquaman tells Jackson the Justice League is down and Darkseid remains, leading the hero to plunge into the pits of muddied water and finding a Motherbox.

After reaching out for the Motherbox, a voice tells Jackson he's reached a new high score in the training program. Then, after emerging out of the water, Jackson proudly tells Arthur Curry he finally got the Motherbox on the Apokolips campaign. Aquaman reveals it's Bruce's favorite training program and when Jackson responds by telling him Batman should run it himself, Aquaman informs him Batman has done it plenty of times before him. It's not at all surprising Batman has done the program "eight million times," as Curry puts it.

Darkseid vs Batman DC Comics

Batman has taken on Darkseid many times over his time as a hero and almost always comes out alive. One might wonder how a non-powered man is prepared at all to take on swarms of Parademons and the ruler of Apokolips, and Aquaman: The Becoming provides an answer - he trains vigorously to combat them.

Batman doesn't sleep and is always trying to get one step ahead of the villains he faces. In this case, he's run the Apokolips training program so many times, it's become a personal favorite of his. Still, doing the program and fighting against Darkseid and his forces is as dangerous as you'd think, even if it's just a simulation. Jackson has only just reached the Motherbox after countless attempts. Maybe one day, he'll master his training like Batman.
