Warning! Spoilers ahead for Harley Quinn: The Animated Series: The Eat. Bang! Kill. Tour #2

In the ongoing Harley Quinn: The Animated Series comic adventures, Catwoman just revealed the sad truth about Batman and her sex life while referencing a hilarious meme that took over the internet earlier this year. In Harley Quinn: The Animated Series: The Eat. Bang! Kill. Tour #2, Harley and Poison Ivy meet up with Selina Kyle, at which point she tells them he's not the biggest fan of cats.

Earlier this summer, the internet exploded when Harley Quinn: The Animated Series showrunner Justin Halpern revealed that DC Comics nixed a scene in the upcoming third season where Batman would perform oral sex on Catwoman. According to Halpern, he was told, "heroes don't do that," as it would create problems selling toys. The online reaction to the quote spawned many memes about whether Batman went down on Catwoman, as even Zack Snyder weighed in on the debate, sharing a graphic image of the Dark Knight and Selina Kyle. Now, DC Comics is hinting at the moment in hilarious fashion.

In Harley Quinn: The Animated Series: The Eat. Bang! Kill. Tour #2 by Tee Franklin, Max Sarin, Marissa Louise, and Taylor Esposito, Harley, and Poison Ivy seek out Catwoman to watch Bob and Lou as they want to go on their honeymoon. After paying Selina Kyle an unwanted visit, Poison Ivy manages to convince her to watch over the hyenas during their upcoming road trip. However, Jim Gordon - on the hunt for the villains - attacks the trio. Harley learns Batman has also arrived, leading Quinn to joke whether he has sex with bats. Catwoman responds by telling him no, but that he is also "not a fan of cats either." Harley and Poison Ivy give the saddest look imaginable back at their friend.

The reaction from Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy tells the story. The double entendre could also be read as Batman also not liking cats themselves in a literal sense, but it's clearly a tongue-in-cheek reference to the controversy and trending topic of the Caped Crusader's speculated sex life with Catwoman.

Part of what makes Harley Quinn: The Animated Series: The Eat. Bang! Kill. Tour and the animated series it's based off of so fun is that it's not afraid to push the envelope when it comes to humor. It's rated R and gets the most mileage out of the rating. In this case, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy learned the unfortunate truth about Batman and Catwoman's sex life. It's a shame Batman isn't a fan of cats, as many who speculated online he was will surely be disappointed - just like Catwoman seems to be.
