All of the superhero costumes seen in DC Comics are usually pretty awesome, but one particular Batman Beyond armor is absolutely top-tier. This suit incorporates Kryptonite into the design, as it is specifically needed to fight an evil alternate Superman when Batman Beyond 2.0 pitted Terry and his super friends against Justice Lord Superman.

Batman Beyond's Terry McGinnis has an iconic and easily recognizable batsuit, however, his Kryptonite armor may just be even better than his traditional outfit. In Batman Beyond 2.0, a digital-first comic released from 2013 to 2014, Terry has to face the Justice Lords. The Justice Lords first debuted in 2003 in an episode of the Justice League animated series. They would become official canon in The Multiversity Guidebook #1 in 2015, though they had already appeared in comics before then in the pages of Batman Beyond 2.0. The Justice Lords hail from Earth-50 and are an alternate form of the Justice League. Lex Luthor became the president of their world and he killed the Flash, resulting in Superman confronting him - and ultimately killing his longtime nemesis. The Justice League follows his lead, taking on the titles of "Lord" and implementing a new style of justice in their world, one that is far less merciful. Lord Batman is killed by Lord Superman and now Terry has ended up in their world - having to pick up the pieces this timeline's Bruce Wayne left behind. The Kryptonite suit was something Bruce was working on that finally gets to fulfill its purpose - taking on Superman.

Batman Beyond 2.0 #22 and #24 come from the creative team of Kyle Higgins, Thony Silas, Emilio Lopez, and Saida Temofonte. These are the issues featuring the impressive Kryptonite armor. This batsuit is still predominantly black, though it has giant wings and green accents due to the presence of embedded synthetic Kryptonite. The Kryptonian rock isn't simply for show, however, as Terry can utilize it as a weapon against Lord Superman. The suit can be used to fire Kryptonite beams, which is obviously bad news for the extremist Man of Steel.

Batman is often known for having contingency plans in place in case he ever has to take down his compatriots, so it's surprising that it took so long for a Kryptonite-infused suit to come along. Nonetheless, this is one of the best suits the Dark Knight has ever come up with and it would be amazing to see it again in the future. It has variable power settings and packs a serious punch. The silhouette of it is also rather stunning with the giant wings reminiscent of a gargoyle. It is very fitting to Gotham's aesthetic and definitely to Batman's.

Taking down Superman was a job that Bruce was expecting to eventually have to do and it speaks to his overall leadership that his wards are able to easily continue his legacy and pick up where he left off, no matter the timeline. Of all the suits Batman has come up with, this Kryptonite-powered armor from Batman Beyond 2.0 may be one of his coolest to date.
