Next year, Batman returns to the big screen in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but the best place to catch him sooner might be in next month's Batman: Arkham Knight. The highly-anticipated video game, releasing on June 23rd, 2015, is the third and final game in the award-winning Arkham series from Rocksteady Studios that began almost six years ago.
At this point in the series, Batman has defeated the Joker in Batman: Arkham Asylum and survived an illness while battling Hugo Strange in Arkham City (he also flashed back to his time fighting against Black Mask in Arkham Origins, a prequel from Warner Bros. Games Montreal). Now, one year after the events of Arkham City, Batman will face a mysterious new foe tied to the Scarecrow in Arkham Knight.
Kevin Conroy from the first two games is back as Batman, where he'll be reunited with Tara Strong as Harley Quinn, Nolan North as The Penguin and Troy Baker as Two-Face.
New to the cast for the epic conclusion is Jonathan Banks (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul) as James Gordon, Ashley Greene (The Twilight Saga) as Barbara Gordon, John Noble (Sleepy Hollow, Fringe) as Scarecrow, and Scott Porter (Friday Night Lights, Hart of Dixie) as Nightwing. There's no word yet on who will voice the mysterious new villain Arkham Knight.
In addition to adding a team of well-known actors to the cast, Batman: Arkham Knight will feature a new crop of heroes to aid Batman in his fight. Not only will Barbara Gordon and Nightwing join the cause, but Red Hood is also reportedly a part of the gameplay. And they'll need all the help they can get after Scarecrow unites all the super criminals of Gotham to destroy the Batman forever.
Developed exclusively for the new generation of consoles (PlayStation 4, Xbox One) and PCs (Microsoft Windows), the gameplay in the finale installment will be taken to the next level. Arkham Knight introduces a new, uniquely designed version of the Batmobile, which gamers can use to tear through the streets of Gotham City on their way to stopping the worst threat the city has ever seen.
