Batman: Arkham fans are playing detective after new Batman 4 game teasers dropped. Warner Bros. Games Montreal, developers of Arkham Origins, dropped its latest teaser for what many assume is a new Arkham game - and with it, a new puzzle to solve. Fans have already pieced the latest clues together, but this months-long slow tease has still left unanswered questions about these symbols and what story they reveal.

The studio shared a series of images across various social media platforms, each containing a fragment of what appears to be part of the Batman 4 logo. "Cape sur la nuit / Capture the Knight," one tweet from WB Games Montreal reads. Other pieces of the symbol appeared on Facebook and Instagram.

Fans glued together the image pretty quickly, and WB Games Montreal also tweeted the full image, with "/redacted" accompanying it.

The "/redacted" caption is a clue to visit a page with that URL on WB Games Montréal's official website, where a new, larger image appears. In it there are two of the previously-shared symbols with room for more. People quickly filled in the rest of the spaces with others that the developer had previously made public.

The sixth missing outer symbol seems to be in an image tweeted by WB Montreal assistant producer Valerie Vezina long before any of the rest made appearances. The symbol on her shirt - an owl - shares a similar style with the rest of the pieces of this puzzle.

With everything coming together, fans now have some idea what the game is about. And it seems to present Batman with some very difficult challenges from some very recognizable factions and from some of his greatest enemies.

The Batman Game Teasers Represent Gotham Factions

The latest Batman teaser symbols shared on social media both solve part of the puzzle and deepen the mystery. The fully-revealed outer symbols seem to indicate which major factions Batman will face over the course of the game. Details of what story they reveal are limited, but the images do provide a lot to go on

The demon head seems to represent the League of Assassins. Another appears to represent Talon, the enforcement faction of the Court of Owls. The last symbol to be revealed resembles a Gotham City Police badge which seems to be altered to indicate corruption. This would go very well with the "capture the Knight" theme of the tweet. However, it could easily represent many governmental organizations Batman has faced down over the years. Fans speculate that one of the other symbols represents the Sacred Order of Saint Dumas. And, of course, there's the owl - which fits nicely in the only unoccupied slot in the outer ring. It seems clear what that represents.

Many are guessing that the unoccupied four larger inner circles are reserved for a possible four playable characters. These could include Bruce Wayne, Batgirl, Damian Wayne, who was planned for Arkham Knight, and another. Whether the five smaller circles will find themselves occupied is a subject of much debate.

While no official announcement has happened, WB Games Montreal has through these cryptic images all but confirmed that a new Batman game is on the horizon - and if speculation is correct, it has the potential to be one of the more interesting ones yet.
