The Dark Knight is about to fall against an unlikely foe, as Batman meets his match in a brand new villain, Failsafe. In a brand new preview for Batman #126 by DC Comics, the hero takes on the mysterious and powerful robot, as his opponent matches Batman's fighting style while nearly killing him in a fight between man and machine. Has Batman met his match in Failsafe?

In his new arc from DC Comics, Batman has encountered a new villain who has a mysterious connection to his past, Alfred Pennyworth and the Batcave. Following The Penguin framing the Dark Knight for murder, a robot inside the Batcave, named Failsafe, was activated. By going online, Failsafe seems to be some sort of protocol against Batman should he ever break bad - as the death of The Penguin might have led to it being turned on. In a new preview for Batman #126, Batman learns how much of a threat his new villain truly is.

Batman has little time to react, recognizing how fast and strong the villain is. When he tries to punch Failsafe, his robot opponent easily blocks it before sending Bruce Wayne crashing to the ground with a massive strike. Batman tries his best against the robot but quickly discovers that the machine matches his move for move. He realizes that he won't be able to defeat him in hand-to-hand combat. Injured on the ground, Batman calls for the Batmobile, as Failsafe proves to be too much to handle, even for the Dark Knight.

It's rare to see Batman take such a one-way beating, as Failsafe manages to block all of his attacks while nearly killing the Dark Knight with its impressive array of moves. However, Batman doesn't seem to recognize the new villain or have any personal history with it, meaning his connection to Failsafe will still be revealed. Considering Failsafe managed to take on Batman easily and made him look weak with just a few strikes, Bruce Wayne seems to have met his match with the robot as someone (or something) designed it to be a Batman-stopper. Readers can learn more about the DC hero fighting Failsafe and his connection to the villain when Batman #126 by DC Comics arrives in comic book stores on Tuesday.
