Controversial Love Is Blind cast member Bartise Bowden and Too Hot To Handle’s Izzy Fairthorne went through a bumpy ride on Perfect Match, so are they together? Bartise, who is best known for dumping Nancy Rodriguez at the altar on Love Is Blind, dated his way through multiple women on Perfect Match, who later woke up from the bad dream was her relationship with Bartise. In a twist, Bartise chose Izzy as his perfect match for the finale. Despite Bartise completely blindsiding her halfway through the show, she agreed to couple up in the end.
Before matching with Izzy in the final episodes of Perfect Match season 1, Bartise had paired with Twentysomethings: Austin star Abbey Humphreys. Despite the unmatched singles coming back into the house to try breaking up the established couples before the finale, Abbey and Bartise agreed they would likely match at the end of the night. When Abbey asked Bartise late in the night if they would match, he was unsure. Bartise then insulted and attacked Abbey with vulnerabilities she had expressed throughout their time together. This toxic behavior ended their relationship quickly, opening the door for Bartise to pursue Izzy on one last date.
Izzy & Bartise Were Not A Perfect Match
Unsurprisingly, Izzy and Bartise are not together post-Perfect Match. In the finale, Izzy and Bartise were honest with each other on their first and only date in the show. During their date, their biggest obstacle became clear: distance. Love Is Blind's Bartise lives in Dallas, and Izzy resides in Manchester, UK. Although he teased that a “trip across the pond” might be in order, according to his Instagram page, this has yet to come to fruition. He also has to remember that he ditched Izzy for The Circle: France’s Ines Tazi earlier in the season. This awkward encounter ended with Bartise repeating old toxic behavior, telling Ines he “built her up” the second she expressed confidence and security in her own decision-making.
Bartise & Izzy Are Living The Single Life
Bartise’s Instagram shows other clues that he and Izzy never attempted to pursue a relationship. Filming for Perfect Match took place in February and March 2022, and filming for Love Is Blind: After The Altar was filmed in the fall of 2022. During the Love Is Blind reunion, Bartise claimed to be single. He wanted to explore his relationship with Nancy but she told him she didn’t even want to be friends anymore. Bartise claimed on his Instagram to have plenty of free time at the gym because there are “no b****es” in his life, further encapsulating his inability to take ownership of his shortcomings.
Izzy’s Instagram comments are filled with fans hoping she is no longer with Bartise or commending her for leaving him. One user said, “You did charity work by being with barstool smfh, distraught crying face emoji, you deserved better!” Another commented, “you’re too good for him,” and others seem to agree, with dozens of fans replying with sentiments of relief. It is worth noting that Baritse and Izzy still follow each other on Instagram, and Too Hot To Handle's Izzy recently posted photos of her and Bartise happy and smiling behind the scenes of Perfect Match. Despite the drama Bartise seems to carry with him everywhere, these two seem to have parted on amicable terms.
Bartise was a controversial figure on Love Is Blind and Perfect Match, whereas Izzy was a bit of a troublemaker on Too Hot To Handle and Perfect Match but still positive. When Nick Lachey asked cast members whether Izzy and Bartise were a perfect match during the finale, Ines said they seemed happy, while Abbey completely disagreed, calling him out for switching from her to Izzy. Abbey appeared correct in her assessment, as Bartise and Izzy’s relationship dissipated as soon as the cameras stopped rolling. Izzy can add herself to the list of women who dodged the Bartise bullet after their short time together on Perfect Match.
