Warning: This list contains spoilers for Barry season 3!

With the end of Barry season 3 in the bag, fans have a lot of questions about the future of the show. After waiting three years for it to return, audiences were treated to one of the best seasons of TV of the year. Barry season 3 has delivered the biggest thrills and surprises in the show's run.

Thankfully, HBO has given the green-light for a fourth season of Barry, so it's only a matter of time before audiences will see more of their favorite hitman turned actor. In the meantime, there are still plenty of cliffhangers that season 3 has setup.

Could Albert Be Barry’s Saving Grace?

Albert arrives at the LAPD in Barry

Albert has been on to Barry since his mid-season reintroduction. As a Marine turned FBI special agent, Albert had a clear vendetta against Barry to prove his guilt. Though he ultimately finds the proof he wanted, he decides to forgive Barry after finding him at his absolute lowest point.

Now that Barry has been arrested, it seems like he has no allies. However, after witnessing Barry’s breakdown, Albert could be the only one to come to Barry’s defense. Albert knows Barry is deeply troubled but still human, and he could lay the groundwork to show everyone else that Barry is not the monster they think he is.

How Long Will Sally Keep Quiet?

Sally breaks up with Barry in Barry

Sally has hit both her highest and lowest point over the course of season 3. She’s gone from a successful showrunner to a blacklisted writer with a dead biker’s blood on her hands. Though she promises to run away with Barry, she’s last seen boarding a flight to her hometown of Joplin, Missouri.

At this point, it’s unclear exactly what Sally is hoping to find in Joplin. Whether she’s running from the police, or hoping to get closure from her past, it’s unlikely she will keep the truth to herself for long. Considering her character's level of bravery, the only question that remains is when she will spill the beans.

Will Barry and Fuches Face Off In Prison?

Fuches with his arm around Barry

Both Barry and Fuches reach an all-time low in the season finale, as they both have been arrested. Unlike Barry, Fuches seems to be taking this in stride, as he demands the prison guards, "call me The Raven,” a quote that sums up his personality to a fault.

But now that the two are in jail, this opens up the possibility for them to reunite behind bars. The two have not spoken face to face since season 2, so they have quite a lot to hash out. Though Barry's and Fuches's fighting abilities differ considerably, season 4 could be building to their final showdown.

Will Cristobal Recover From His Aversion Torture?

NoHo Hank (Anthony Carrigan) in bed watching TV with Cristobal Sifuentes (Michael Irby) in season 3 of HBO Barry

After fighting off a panther with a machine gun, Hank finds Elena trying to “cure” Cristobal’s sexuality via electroshock version therapy. While Hank successfully takes out Elena, it’s clear the damage is done.

By the end of the episode, Cristobal is unable to speak and can barely even stand. It’s unclear if the electroshock damage is permanent, but the final look on Hank’s face shows he’s also concerned for his lover’s well-being. It would be a shame for Hank to have found happiness with Cristobal only for it to be ruined here.

Is The Chechen Bolivian Feud Coming To A Head?

Cristobal on the phone in Barry.

Elena and the Bolivians have been on a vendetta against the Chechens ever since she discovered Cristobal’s affair with Hank. Even with her demise in the season finale, it’s only a matter of time before the Bolivians retaliate against Hank.

The Bolivians are not the only ones with a bone to pick. After witnessing their heroin lab get raided, it’s clear the Chechens are also out for blood. This feud has escalated to the point that neither side can just sit back anymore. It begs the question if Hank and Cristobal will get caught in the crossfire.

Will Gene’s MasterClass Continue As Planned?

Henry Winkler as Gene in HBO's Barry

Throughout this season, Gene’s career has made a comeback, culminating in a deal with MasterClass. The season has also provided some of Gene's funniest quotes in the show. In the finale, Gene is offered a movie deal to play the end of his MasterClass in theaters around the world.

But now that Gene has implemented himself in Barry’s arrest, the publicity could have a ripple effect on Gene’s career. On one hand, Gene’s role in getting Barry arrested could create positive buzz for the MasterClass. On the other hand, Barry’s involvement with Gene’s acting class could raise some eyebrows. Either way, it’s only a matter of time before word gets out about Gene’s connection to Barry.

Is Kyle Still Alive?

Fuches stands in the desert in Barry

Fuches has doxed Barry by giving his address to the families of his victims. One of these families includes Julie and her teenage son, Kyle, who plan to confront Barry at gunpoint. At the end of episode five, their plan falls apart after Julie accidentally shoots Kyle in the stomach.

Julie and Kyle are never seen again in the rest of the season, so Kyle’s fate has yet to be revealed. The mortality from an abdominal gunshot wound is very high, but that’s not to say Kyle is for sure gone. Even if Kyle survives, his mother is going to have a rough time explaining what happened to the police.

Is Batir Still Alive?

Batir (JB Blanc) from HBO Barry

Batir has always been one of the more underrated members of Hank’s crew. In episode five, a video call between him and the Chechen mob bosses turns sour as they both watch their heroin shop is raided by the Bolivians and the police. Fearing for his own safety, Batir drops his phone and flees the scene, which is possibly the worst thing his character has done.

Batir was never seen after this episode, so his fate is still unknown. It’s possible he is hiding out in California or has even fled the country to avoid the wrath of his bosses. It would be nice to see at least one character in the show get a happy ending, but only time will tell if Batir is gone for good.

Is Barry Destined To Kill Again?

Barry Berkman is arrested in the season 3 finale of Barry

Since the start of the show, no matter how hard Barry has tried, he has not been able to put his life as a killer behind him. This comes to a head in the season finale when Albert gives Barry an ultimatum to give up his life as a hitman or suffer the consequences.

Now that Barry has been arrested, it seems like his hitman days might be over. It should be noted that Barry hasn’t killed anyone directly since episode four when he detonated the bomb under the Bolivian’s house. But that's not to say his killing days are for sure behind him. Fans will have to wait until season 4 to know for sure if Barry will ever kill again.
