The upcoming Barbie movie has received a Grand Theft Auto-style makeover in a new fan-made movie poster from renowned fan artist BossLogic. The artist is responsible for many spectacular fan posters dedicated to franchises across multiple entertainment mediums such as comics, movies, and video games, and has now focused his efforts on reimagining the cast of Barbie as characters in Grand Theft Auto. Barbie, who's no stranger to video games herself, stars in her first live-action movie this July from director Greta Gerwig, with Margot Robbie cast as the eponymous lead and Ryan Gosling playing the role of Ken.

Though their target audience may differ, Grand Theft Auto and Barbie are both highly successful franchises. The action-packed crime thriller GTA remains one of the defining gaming milestones, with its recent entry, GTA 5, ranking among the highest-selling games of all time. Barbie, meanwhile, has commanded nothing short of royalty in the toy industry since the 1950s. As one might expect, there’s no shortage of fan art dedicated to both GTA and Barbie. One passionate fan recreated the entire Los Santos map from GTA Online with LEGO, for instance.

Popular artist BossLogic recently unveiled his newest piece on Twitter titled 'Grand Theft Auto B' - a movie poster featuring the cast of the new Barbie movie digitally recreated as a Grand Theft Auto game cover. The stylized poster depicts Barbie and Ken (portrayed by Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling) packing some serious heat. Supporting cast members Will Ferrell, Simu Liu, and America Ferrara are also featured and detailed in traditional GTA-esque poses and saturation. While the notion of the child-friendly Barbie driving through the crime-infested streets of GTA is hilarious to imagine, it's possible that BossLogic's poster could inspire GTA Online players to start their own Barbie-style crew.

When it comes to conceptualizing cool new ideas for popular franchises, professional artist BossLogic has earned quite a reputation for such work. The popular online artist's work has been included in several official product releases such as variant comic book covers, and Ubisoft even commissioned BossLogic to draw and reveal Assassin Creed: Valhalla’s setting via a live stream digital drawing session.

There’s a guilty pleasure in seeing unorthodox pairings like BossLogic’s Grand Theft Auto and Barbie crossover. Only in the realm of fan creations could one witness such a pairing. While not all depictions are tasteful, there are many such as BossLogic who blend the line of ridiculousness to such a believable effect that fans may want to see it become a reality, no matter how absurd the concept.
